Based in Houston, London and Singapore, the global Contracts group supports contract requirements for the Supply and Trading business.\nThe S&T Contracts team operates a global delivery model in close partnership with Global Business Services (“GBS”) in Buenos Aires and Manila. This role supports the end-to-end contract lifecycle across a broad portfolio of agreements, working alongside GBS colleagues to ensure consistent, accurate and well-controlled contract outcomes for the business.\nThe successful candidate will prepare, review and administer a range of commodity trading contracts, act as a point of contact on contract practices, provide guidance, quality review and escalation support, and contribute to standardisation and continuous improvement across the team.\nResponsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:\nTimely and accurately prepare, review and administer a range of contracts and terms, from standard agreements through to more complex arrangements, including but not limited to:\n- LNG contracts (MSPAs and Confirmation Notices)\n- Master agreements with strategic or top customers\nPartner closely with GBS colleagues across the contract lifecycle, providing day-to-day guidance, quality review and escalation support to ensure contracts are accurate, compliant and delivered in line with agreed service expectations.\nSupport stronger commercial outcomes by contributing to pre and post negotiation analysis of operational, financial and legal contract terms and exposures, helping give the front office clear visibility of risk reward dynamics\nEnable robust, fit for purpose contracting by partnering closely with the front office and internal stakeholders to align agreements with internal controls, risk frameworks and efficient processes and systems.\nValidate trade deal and General Terms and Conditions (GTC), incorporate trade economics, complex physical delivery clauses and legal terms.\nCoordinate internal SME reviews, provide contract, GTC, tender guidance and negotiation support to the trading organisation.\nLiaising with Traders/Trading Analysts to resolve trade discrepancies as required.\nLiaise with counterparts, state companies and partners and negotiate agreeable contract terms.\nAdminister all contract work from initiation through to completion/execution.\nSupport internal and industry-led contract simplification and standardisation, including identifying improvements to templates, processes and handoffs across the global delivery model.\nContribute to automation initiatives that enhance efficiency through emerging automation and AI capabilities.\nWork in a fast-moving commercial environment with multiple stakeholders, agreeing priorities and workload in line with business needs and expectations.\nRequired Qualifications:\nExperience in contract administration, contract practice, legal or a related commercial or administrative role.\nAwareness of financial, operational and legal risks in contracts.\nAbility to improve processes and support standardisation.\nKnowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products.\nProactive - Can do attitude.\nAbility to prioritise and meet tight deadlines.\nExcellent attention to detail.\nCustomer-focused with good planning and organizational skills.\nA team player with strong interpersonal and motivational skills.\nAbility to build effective working relationships across locations and time zones, including with shared service and remote teams.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nEducation: Bachelor’s in Law, Business and Administration and/or Supply Chain.\nUnderstanding of Oil and Gas contract structures and standard terms.\nExperience working within a shared services or offshore operating model.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complexity into clear guidance.\nFamiliarity with Supply & Trading and/or Supply Chain.\nKnowledge of trading systems e.g.: Endur and/or RightAngle.\nKnowledge of Incoterms and transfer of title and risk.\nExperience in reviewing Tender documentation.\nUnderstanding of Oil Majors GTC and experience in reviewing counterparties’ GTC.\nAbility to work effectively and adapt quickly in a lean, fast-moving team.\nExperience with CLM systems or contract automation tools.\nExposure to AI-enabled document review or workflow automation.\nContinuous improvement or process optimisation experience.\nRelocation Options:\nRelocation will not be considered within Chevron parameters.\nInternational Considerations:\nSelected candidate will be based in Singapore under the local payroll
