We offer services such as bulk fuel supply, oils and lubricants, fuel equipment solutions, customised fleet fuel card solutions and expert advice on fuel management and health and safety.\nAt Chevron, we believe humanity can solve any challenge - including meeting the world’s energy needs of today, while advancing a cleaner energy tomorrow.\nabout the role\nChevron Australia is seeking an experienced Corporate Affairs Manager - Australia Downstream to lead Corporate Affairs for our Australian Downstream business and the Caltex brand.\nBased in our Brisbane Head Office and reporting to the General Manager, Corporate Affairs - Australia, this is a highly influential role partnering with the Downstream leadership team on the issues that matter most to our business, stakeholders and reputation.\nYou will provide strategic advice across government and industry relations, advocacy, stakeholder engagement, communications, media, brand and reputation, helping the business navigate a complex and evolving energy and consumer environment.\nAs a member of the Downstream leadership team, you will have the opportunity to shape strategy, influence major business decisions and build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across government, industry and the community.\nwhat you'll do\nStrategic advice & advocacy\nPartner with the Downstream leadership team to translate business priorities into effective Corporate Affairs strategies.\nLead advocacy on key issues including fuel security, supply resilience, fuels policy, energy transition and transport decarbonisation.\nAnticipate and manage emerging political, social and reputational risks and opportunities.\nProvide senior leaders with clear, commercially focused advice informed by the external environment.\nGovernment & stakeholder engagement\nBuild trusted relationships with Commonwealth, state and local governments, industry bodies, customers, community partners and other key stakeholders.\nRepresent Downstream priorities through industry and government engagement.\nConnect stakeholder insights with business strategy and decision-making.\nCommunications, media & reputation\nDevelop integrated communications and reputation strategies that strengthen the Caltex brand and support business priorities.\nLead media strategy, issues management and executive communications, and act as an authorised company spokesperson where required.\nLead Corporate Affairs preparedness and response for significant issues, incidents, transactions and organisational change.\nUse media, stakeholder and digital insights to measure impact and continuously strengthen outcomes.\nLeadership & integration\nLead and develop Corporate Affairs resources supporting the Downstream business.\nBring together expertise from across Chevron to deliver an integrated approach to advocacy, communications, stakeholder engagement and reputation.\nManage Corporate Affairs priorities, planning, budget, governance and performance.\nabout you\nYou are an experienced Corporate Affairs leader who combines commercial judgement, political awareness and outstanding stakeholder skills with the ability to operate confidently in a complex and highly visible environment.\nYou will bring:\nSignificant experience in Corporate Affairs, public affairs, government relations, strategic communications or a related field.\nDemonstrated experience advising executives and senior business leaders on complex or high-profile issues.\nStrong understanding of the Australian political, regulatory and media environment.\nProven ability to develop trusted relationships with senior government, industry, media and community stakeholders.\nExperience leading advocacy, reputation, media and issues-management strategies.\nStrong judgement and the ability to communicate clearly and confidently during periods of change, uncertainty or heightened scrutiny.\nA collaborative leadership style and the ability to influence across a complex, matrixed organisation.\nA commercial mindset, with a focus on measurable outcomes and the value Corporate Affairs can create or protect for the business.\nExperience in energy, resources, infrastructure, transport, retail, FMCG or another highly regulated consumer-facing industry would be highly regarded.\nWhy join Chevron Australia?\nAt Chevron, you'll work on issues that matter to Australia's energy future while contributing to one of the world's leading energy companies.
