Do you thrive in a high-performance industrial environment and possess the technical expertise to monitor and optimize complex process systems?\nIf so, we invite qualified Nigerians to apply for the Escravos Gas-to-Liquids (EGTL) Console Operator role and become part of a highly valued CNL team.\nYour journey towards a rewarding career starts here!\nJob Description Summary:\nEscravos Gas-to-Liquids (EGTL) Console Operator - Fischer Tropsch (FT) Unit\nThe FT (Fischer Tropsch) Unit forms part of EGTL’s Gas Circuit area, alongside the Air Separation Unit (ASU) and Auto thermal Reforming (ATR) technologies.\nThe FT Console Operator supports safe, reliable EGTL operations by monitoring and controlling Unit 30 and 35 GTL conversion plants with the associated wax treatment and filtration units within the Gas Circuit area.\nThe role involves keeping process conditions within safe operating limits, responding promptly to operational changes, completing routine console duties, coordinating with operating and maintenance teams, following approved procedures, and maintaining effective shift communication.\nKey Responsibilities:\nOperate and monitor the EGTL console to deliver the daily shift plan, including equipment start-ups and controlled shutdowns within the assigned area.\nRespond to and manage process upsets and emergencies by applying the required knowledge, skills, and competencies.\nWork with the technical team to ensure process systems and control devices operate as intended to support safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.\nDevelop and review operating and emergency procedures for the assigned area.\nReport abnormal conditions and equipment deviations in the operating area and follow through to support optimal process equipment availability.\nComplete routine operator duties and ensure effective shift turnover.\nWhat You Will Bring \nExperience\nAt least five (5) years of experience as a qualified Field Operator in a refinery or similar complex process facility\nQualification\nHigher National Diploma or University degree from a recognised institution.\nSuccessfully completed specific unit or Area Formal Operator Training program (FOTP) and Qualification Review Board (QRB) requirements as a unit operator for specific plant technology in a refinery or similar complex process facility.\nExpertise\nKnowledgeable in process safety hazards, assesses process safety risks, and develops mitigation strategies. \nAbility to communicate effectively and understands the importance of feedback in communication. \nAdditional Considerations\nGood understanding of asset integrity, especially with process equipment and can demonstrate principles of operator care through effective ORDs. \nOffshore Petroleum Industry Training organization (OPITO) certification or similar industry recognized craft certification is an advantage.\nPosting closes on Tuesday, November 10, 2026 @ 11:59pm.\nPlease Note:\nInformation about this recruitment process is strictly as published in this job details or our advert in the national newspapers.
