Meeting the world’s growing energy needs requires the pursuit of innovations and advancements that deliver a better future for all.\nKey Responsibilities\nFor Upstream Oil and Gas Shale & Tight regulations, perform data analysis on environmental regulations for air, water, and waste, and evaluate alternatives to meet compliance requirements, articulate recommendations.\nEnsure data collection methods and practices comply with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and standards.\nPrepare reports to demonstrate compliance with environmental permits and regulations.\nRecord and organize collected data systematically, ensuring accuracy and completeness.\nFacilitate communication and coordination between internal teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting and compliance.\nPartner with internal customers, such as operations, maintenance, capital projects, technical, and HSE teams, to compile data for assurance and reporting.\nDevelop and maintain systems for tracking and reporting on environmental performance and compliance metrics.\nIdentify communicate and implement opportunities to embed and streamline environmental compliance activities within process data systems, for example, automated alarming and notification systems.\nPerform quality reviews of environmental data and report out on issues and gaps.\nManage multiple projects/activities and competing priorities, including the tracking and delivery of key actions assigned.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in environmental science, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field.\nMinimum of 3 years of experience in environmental reporting, compliance, or permitting in the oil and gas industry.\nConsistent demonstration of communicating areas of concern or identification of compliance concerns with regional business contacts. \nStrong understanding and experience working in data analysis tools and software; including Excel, SEEQ, and PowerBi. Able to provide environmental guidance and support to internal customers, such as operations, maintenance, capital projects, technical, and HSE teams.\nDevelop and maintain systems for tracking and reporting on environmental performance and compliance metrics.\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets to ensure compliance with environmental dataset/calculations regulations and standards.\nAble to conduct quality reviews of environmental data and reports including identification and resolution of issues or gaps.\nEffective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present and simplify findings clearly to stakeholders.\nCapable of developing an understanding of local and state environmental regulations and reporting requirements.\nExperience communicating internally regarding compliance actions, permit application preparation, and various regulatory submittals.\nStrong communication skills and capable of working effectively in teams and across functions to deliver results.\nStrong attention to detail, project management, and prioritization skills needed.\nPreferred Qualifications\nProficient in the design and support of Low Code solutions and ability to apply technical skills across HSE and IT to minimize technical debt.\nExperience in water reporting, environmental compliance, or sustainability reporting\nStrong Power BI skills for dashboarding, analytics, and reporting\nExcellent communication, training delivery, and stakeholder engagement capabilities\nGIS/ArcGIS and Biodiversity reporting experience preferred but not mandatory\nChevron ENGINE supports global operations, supporting business requirements across the world. Accordingly, the work hours for employees will be aligned to support business requirements. The standard work week will be Monday to Friday.
