The team monitors and deploys digital solutions for indirect tax calculation and compliance on purchases and sales made by Chevron via SAP, eProcurement, and other enterprise systems.\nDay-to-Day Responsibilities\nAct as a project team lead to deliver tax solutions globally. (Tax calculation engines, tax compliance tools, international e-invoicing solutions).\nAct as project team lead to implement emerging technology solutions.\nPartner with Thomson Reuters to build, maintain and troubleshoot Onesource tax determination engine.\nSupport ERP integration by providing requirements, expertise, testing and documentation as needed.\nPerform Thomson Reuters Onesource configuration changes as needed, including development, and testing for U.S. & International indirect taxes.\nBuild knowledge and skills in the Thomson Reuters Onesource Indirect Tax Determination for Sales & Use, VAT and Motor Vehicle Fuel/ Environmental content.\nAct as Onesource user admin and review/approve Onesource configuration changes initiated by team members.\nSupport the Global Indirect Tax Audit and Advisory team on any technology solutions.\nWork closely with Global Service Centers (Buenos Aires and Manila). Responsibilities include but are not limited to monitoring KPIs, leading and training on Global Tax Engine.\nAnalyze and resolve the more complex system related issues relating to VAT, U.S. Sales & Use, MVF, and other excise tax transactions.\nAssist Business Units and Global Tax Engine Support teams in troubleshooting & solutioning tax transaction issues.\nWork with the appropriate teams to improve, streamline and optimize work. Review processes, reports, and other activities for process improvement opportunities. Leverage Microsoft Power Apps as solution.\nMaintain a general knowledge of U.S. sales & use, VAT and excise taxes and their application.\nTechnical Skills and Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.\n5+ years of experience in tax technology with solid focus on ERP and tax automation systems.\nProven expertise in ONESOURCE Indirect Tax (Determination) implementation and support.\nExperience leading multi-functional projects, including ERP upgrades, tax system rollouts, etc.\nStrong project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.\nAdvanced proficiency with data analytics tools (Microsoft Power BI suite, Alteryx, Python, Databricks) and experience leveraging data to improve processes and reporting.\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.\nRelocation Options:\nRelocationis not offered for this role.
