This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your experience and be part of a team contributing to the startup and operation of a new facility.\nThis position will either be assigned to supervise one of the four shifts or provide vacation relief for Operations Supervisors at U10. The successful candidate for this position must possess a strong safety focus, excellent leadership skills, comprehensive unit and job knowledge, positive attitude, and strong organizational and communication skills.\nIn addition, the Operations Supervisor will lead the operators to ensure a safe, compliant, and reliable start-up and operation of the new unit. The additional responsibilities are summarized below.\nResponsibilities\nFollows safe work practices, basic operations procedures and contributes to a safe work culture\nFollows the Tenets of Operations, COO/OD, and Life Saving Rules \nEnsures the team follows all safety/environmental policies, procedures, and practices\nAddresses all safety and environmental issues promptly\nServes as a role model for safety and compliance\nEnsures the team follows operating plans and practices\nPlans and coordinates maintenance as defined by site Operations-Maintenance Work Process \nAssists operators with a timely turnover of equipment to maintenance\nEnsures equipment is received from maintenance and returned to service safely and efficiently\nWorks with the PSM/training coordinator to develop an effective and productive team\nSupports performance evaluation, positive relationships, and consistent use of policies \nKeeps operators up to date on training requirements\nMaintains communications between teams and other business units\nManages daily performance of the shift team in order to achieve safe and reliable production of high-quality products\nRequired Qualifications\nHigh School Diploma/GED\nThorough knowledge and comprehension of unit processes and procedures\nWorkup experience in supervisory role\nDemonstrated safety leadership\nAbility to translate unit objectives into daily task prioritization for shift workers\nExcellent communication skills to document and transfer critical information from shift to shift\nPreferred Qualifications\nAt least 5 years of experience in Ethylene operations\nFamiliar with CPChem safe work practices and site-specific procedures\nChevron Phillips Chemical offers competitive salaries, a comprehensive benefits package and at most locations, alternate work schedules.
