Responsibilities include leading and collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and develop, deploy and operate software and integrations, ensuring cyber resiliency, optimal performance and scalability. The position also focuses on creating responsive, high-quality user experiences for all targeted personas.\nResponsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:\nConsistently delivers complex, innovative and complete solutions, driving them through design, planning, development, deployment and support that simplify business processes and workflows to drive business value\nProvide technical leadership both tactical (day to day activities) and strategic (big picture, vision). Work has high senior IT and business leadership visibility\nRepresent team, priorities, architectures in cross-team architectural discussions and decision-making Partner with PMs/POs in forming vision, direction and priorities\nAdvocate solid software development practices in the team covering testing, modularity, scalability, observability and integration\nDeliver results in collaboration with other software engineering and technical teams. Constructively and positively influence own and other teams/organizations direction\nDesign and develop data engineering, data integration and data management practices and tools\nDevelop software solution leveraging established Chevron technology standards and collaborate with internal partners to develop new technology standards as needs arise\nMaintain working knowledge of the latest software engineering tools and practices for continuous integration, unit tests, static and dynamic profiling, code coverage, code analysis, and integration tests\nTechnical mentor for the team, enabling development and growth of other software engineers across the company.\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) and able to demonstrate high proficiency in programming fundamentals.\nBetween 7-10 years of proven working experience as a software developer with a strong portfolio of complex software and integration solutions.\nSkilled in standard software development frameworks\nExperience implementing security best practices in software engineering\nSkilled in recognizing, applying, and implementing design patterns and best practices for software engineering to enhance code quality, security, maintainability, and scalability.\nSkilled with version control systems (e.g., Git).\nSkilled with Microsoft stacks including Azure App Services, Azure Functions, and Azure DevOps.\nExcellent communication and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.\nAbility to adapt to new technologies and changing business requirements.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with automated testing.
