The Assistant General Manager will drive efficiency and continuous process improvements for a multi-shift, high volume e-fulfillment operation that encompasses safety, inventory control, receiving, picking, packing, and shipping. You will lead and encourage the development of the management team and associates by demonstrating a command of operational efficiencies and a proficiency in team member engagement. This person will be responsible for setting high standards and goals for the Fulfillment Center and ensuring that these standards and goals are achieved. We are searching for a results-oriented, high-energy, multifaceted individual with both stamina and mental quickness to be able to work and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth Fulfillment Center. Excellent communication skills with all levels of management and staff will be imperative.\nWhat you'll do:\nAccountable for all activities the Fulfillment Center, to include leading all aspects of operations to attain maximum production efficiency, coordinating safety and inventory control to ensure the site builds a strong culture of safety and quality, and ensuring all functions operate at levels which exceed customers’ needs and established financial benchmarks.\nRecommends policies and programs, which guide the organization in maintaining and improving its strong position and the profitability of the operation, coordinates activities so that shipping is on schedule and product is within quality standards and cost objectives.\nEnsures Fulfillment Center adheres to company policy and coordinating practices in fair and equitable manner.\nHandles budget and controls expenses efficiently\nDevelops and appraises staff successfully!\nTakes corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy. Consults with Human Resources as appropriate.\nEnsures standards for product quality, equipment, and operator performance are maintained and that cost-effective technology is used to improve production. Ensures fixed assets are preserved.\nApproves recommendations on purchases of new equipment and improvements to plant property.\nKeeps up to date on information and technology affecting distribution to increase innovation and ensure continual improvement throughout the Fulfillment Center.\nWhat you'll need:\nBachelor’s Degree from an accredited university\n8+ years direct management experience, including a salaried workforce, in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment \nEcommerce Fulfillment experience (direct to consumer) strongly desired\nExperience with performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean techniques\nExperience with the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions, and terminations\nCandidates must be flexible to work a variety of hours as business demands, including overnight, weekends and holidays\nMust be willing to travel\nPhysical job requirements:\nWalk up to 2 miles per shift\nRarely life greater than 70 pounds using a team lift\nStand, push, pull, carry, squat, and kneel\nClimb up and down stairs (where applicable)\nBonus:\nMBA preferred\nThe base salary range for this role is $131,500 - $211,000.00.The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant.
