This role carries full accountability for P&L, growth strategy, and execution, spanning merchandising, marketing, and operational levers.\nIn this role, you’ll operate at the intersection of analytics, vendor partnerships, and ecommerce execution, with high visibility and a direct impact on revenue growth and customer experience. This is an opportunity to think and act like a General Manager, not just a functional contributor.\nIf you’re energized by ownership, thrive in fast-paced environments, and want to scale a business within a customer-obsessed, high-growth company, this role is built for you.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nOwn category P&L and performance against sales, margin, and growth targets; manage budgets, forecasts, and corrective action plans.\nDevelop and execute strategies across pricing, assortment, promotions, and merchandising\nAnalyze category, brand, SKU, and customer performance to identify growth opportunities, diagnose business gaps, and prioritize investment.\nBuild and manage vendor relationships, including negotiations and joint business planning. Lead business review performance and share actionable recommendations.\nPartner cross-functionally with marketing, supply chain, and operations to deliver results\nIdentify and launch new products or initiatives to accelerate category growth\nContinuously optimize the customer experience while driving commercial outcomes\nWhat You’ll Need:\n5+ years of experience in category management, brand management, or similar commercial roles\nStrong blend of analytical skills, business ownership, and vendor interaction\nExperience in ecommerce, retail, or related category environments\nDemonstrated business acumen across pricing, assortment, promotions, and P&L ownership\nProven ability to manage vendors across a variety of business sizes (head, torso, and tail), and allocate time and resources accordingly\nData-driven mindset with a track record of turning insights into action\nSuccess operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments\nBonus:\nExperience scaling new or emerging brands or categories\nExposure to supply chain, forecasting, and inventory planning\nTrack record of launching new products or go-to-market strategies\nBackground in tech-enabled retail (e.g., marketplaces, DTC)\nStrong operator mindset-able to execute, not just strategize\nComfort with ambiguity and using data to guide decisions\nProven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive alignment\nDemonstrated success in growing revenue or improving category performance\nChewy is an equal opportunity employer.
