Additionally, you will develop new and valuable skills and experience in our growing world of e-commerce fulfillment operations.\nThis position handles a wide variety of facilities, maintenance, and utilities requirements across a large fulfillment center.\nWhat you'lldo:\nYou will perform maintenance and repair, housekeeping and plumbing, metal fabrication and carpentry to support our fast-paced fulfillment center operations.\n\nEnsure that all fulfillment center equipment is operatingproperly and ensure a safe working environment for all your fulfillment Team Members.\n\nComplete periodic and general maintenance tasks throughout the facility - as assigned and according to schedule.\n\nPerform daily inspections of conveyor systems, shipping, and packing equipment areas.\n\nMaintain accountability for assigned equipment and associated gear list, reducing loss, damage, and defects to zero.\n\nComplete repair order and maintainparts usage records.\n\nTackle mechanical and electrical problems, you will visually check, test, and evaluate the condition of components, equipment, and circuits.\n\nFollow company procedures.\n\nWhat you’llneed:\nAt least 36 monthsof previousfacility maintenance experience\n\n(Mechanics and Maintainers, Construction and Engineering, Aviation and Transportation Repair)\n\nMust have electrical experience or understanding\n\nDemonstrate electrical knowledge of 24v ac/dc control circuits, 120v power & control circuits, and 277v-480v power circuits\n\nExperience using appropriate toolsand maintenance equipment.\n\nAbility to lift 75 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently.\n\nRequires manual dexterity, overall coordination, and good balance to work at ground level, with the ability to climb and work at elevations up to 35 feet above floor level.\n\nInterest in math, electricity, shop mechanics, electric motors, and appliances\n\nGood at solving problems\n\nUnderstand potential exposure exists to high voltage current, welding equipment, vehicle and equipment lubricants and solvents.\n\nExperience with fire systemand fire alarm electronic devices.\n\nAbility to read, understand & interpret electrical, pneumatic, & plumbing schematics.\n\nExperience with conveyor mechanical systems (belts, drives, tracking valves).\n\nExperience with VFD motor controllers\n\nExperience with motor starters and control cabinet\n\nPLC knowledge - input/outputs solving or some programming\n\nHVAC - advanced knowledge or experience.\n\nCommunicate preventative maintenance and repair opportunities as well as issue of resources outside of normal hours when needed, to ensure system performance.\n\nCan communicate, make sound decisions, work well under stress.\n\nRecognize problems and repair before breakdown occurs\n\nProactive problem solving & mechanical proficiencyskills.\n\nAbility and willingness to train others\n\nAbility to work nights, weekendsand overtime\n\nWe offer the following benefits for Team Members:\n20% Chewy.com Discount\n\nMedical, Dental, Vision, FSAand HSA (eligibility on the 1st of the month following date of hire)\n\nLife and Disability Insurance\n\n401(k) with company matching\n\nWellness benefits through Wellbeing @Chewy\n\nEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)\n\nPaid Time Off: Team Members are eligible to accrueup to 80 hoursof PTO their first year\n\nSubsidized child, adult, and pet backup care through Care.com\n\nDiscounts on many items through the LifeMartDiscount platform\n\nThe optionto sign up for Payactiv’sEarned Wage Access program and access a portionof the money you’vealready earned, beforeyour regular payday!\n\nOpportunity for wage increases starting after 3-months of service\n\nReferral Bonuses - $500 per referral\n\nChewy is an equal opportunity employer.
