This is an essential position at one of the network’s fulfillment centers located in Phoenix, AZ. As the company grows, this role within the Finance organization represents a fundamental building block in Chewy’s enterprise performance management and profitability improvement efforts. As Senior Financial Analyst, you will be located at the fulfillment center, working with the leadership team on-site to improve performance and meet or exceed financial commitments.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nDeliver business insight, reporting, and analysis to the General Manager and their management team as well as the regional leadership team\n\nParticipate in the ongoing management of the business and influence decision-making through solid relationships built with your cross-functional business partners\n\nPursue continuous improvement in all areas of the business with an emphasis on Operations, Supply Chain, Accounting, and Finance\n\nContribute to the strategic planning, target setting, and annual planning processes, and perform risk and opportunities analyses to support resource allocations\n\nManage the planning process for variable labor within the fulfillment center, ensuring Chewy can exceed customer expectations at the lowest possible cost\n\nCollaborate with data source providers and technology teams to ensure that critical decision data is accurate and timely\n\nPartner with peers at other locations to support network initiatives that may require you to visit or partner with management teams at different locations\n\nOversee the FC’s monthly close process, ensuring books and records are accurately maintained following Chewy’s policies and procedures\n\nSupport Capital Planning process, including financial analysis, cost/benefit tracking, and business case development\n\nWhat You’ll Need:\nBachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or Information Systems degree required.\n\n3+ years of related experience (Operations, Finance, logistics) and a firm grasp of finance\n\nFulfillment, distribution center, industrial manufacturing, or operations experience\n\nStrong analytical and modeling skills and experience in supporting business case development, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis\n\nExceptional written and verbal communication skills\n\nAdvanced MS Office Suite skills; required proficiency in Excel\n\nAbility to think creatively, work independently and as part of a team to solve problems given limited resources and time, have a strong work ethic and adhere to deadlines\n\nComfortable with ambiguity and changing priorities\n\nAbility to travel up to 10% of the time\n\nBonus:\nExperience with financial systems (SAP, Hyperion, NAV, Oracle)\n\nAdvanced skills with relational databases (e.g., Access, SQL)\n\nExperience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, MicroStrategy)\n\nChewy is an equal opportunity employer.
