Our team builds the products and science-based capabilities that maintain a healthy flow of inbound volume across Chewy’s 13 core fulfillment centers, ensuring our network has the right inventory and labor in place to serve pet parents.\nWe are seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager to define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Chewy’s inbound planning products. This role will lead the evolution of our 13-week planning process from manually coordinated workflows toward scalable, automated, and science-based solutions.\nThis highly visible and cross-functional role will partner with Engineering, Data Science, Replenishment, Transportation, In Stock, and Fulfillment Center Operations teams. You will be responsible for ensuring that the ecosystem of inbound products and teams works together effectively to support near-term operational needs and Chewy’s long-term growth. The ideal candidate is a clear communicator and trusted partner who uses data to influence decisions, align senior leaders, and translate complex supply chain challenges into scalable technical solutions.\nWhat You’ll Do\nDefine and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Chewy’s inbound planning capabilities, with a focus on automation, scalability, and science-based decision-making.\n\nOwn the technical products supporting the 13-week inbound planning process across Chewy’s 13 core fulfillment centers.\n\nIdentify opportunities to innovate and improve how inbound volume, labor, inventory, capacity, and operational constraints are planned across the fulfillment network.\n\nPartner with engineering and data science teams to translate complex business and operational needs into clear product requirements, technical capabilities, and use cases.\n\nWork alongside engineering and data science throughout the development lifecycle to scope, test, launch, and continuously improve inbound planning solutions.\n\nCoordinate across Replenishment, Transportation, In Stock, and Fulfillment Center Operations teams, including both business and technology partners, to align roadmaps, manage dependencies, and ensure the broader product ecosystem works together effectively.\n\nBuild trust with stakeholders by using data to frame problems, evaluate tradeoffs, and drive clear and objective decisions.\n\nInfluence senior leaders and cross-functional partners to establish shared priorities and alignment on inbound planning strategies.\n\nDefine and track key performance indicators that measure planning quality, network health, operational efficiency, and product impact.\n\nDevelop clear product documentation, including vision documents, roadmaps, business requirements, user stories, and leadership updates.\n\nIdentify risks and dependencies early, establish mitigation plans, and communicate changes or tradeoffs clearly to stakeholders.\n\nStay current on emerging technologies and industry trends in supply chain planning, automation, optimization, and data science to inform product strategy and drive innovation.\n\nWhat You’ll Need\nBachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Research, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.\n\n5+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager or in a comparable product role, owning and driving complex technical roadmaps from strategy through execution.\n\nDemonstrated experience translating complex business and operational challenges into scalable technical products and clear requirements.\n\nProven ability to develop product vision documents, roadmaps, business requirements, user stories, epics, and use cases and to work effectively with agile development teams.\n\nExperience partnering closely with engineering and data science teams throughout product discovery, development, testing, launch, and iteration.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to generate insights, evaluate tradeoffs, and influence decisions.\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical and operational concepts for senior leaders and diverse cross-functional audiences.\n\nDemonstrated ability to build trust, influence without direct authority, and drive alignment across teams with competing priorities.\n\nExperience managing dependencies across multiple products, systems, teams, and operational workflows.\n\nPassion for building products that improve operational efficiency, decision quality, scalability, and customer outcomes.\n\nBonus\nExperience building or managing supply chain planning, inbound logistics, inventory, transportation, labor planning, or fulfillment technology products.\n\nExperience using SQL and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI to analyze performance and support product decisions.\n\nFamiliarity with data science and optimization techniques, including forecasting, simulation, machine learning, and scheduling or network optimization algorithms.\n\nUnderstanding of distributed systems, APIs, cloud computing, and microservices architectures.\n\nExperience developing products that replace manual planning processes with automated, data-driven decision-making.\n\nWhat You’ll Get\nA place where you can be your authentic self and grow your career. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant.
