You will help develop services and applications to enable, support, and optimize software development processes and practices for the fulfillment execution teams.\nIn this role, you will develop new features that enhance existing systems for our fulfillment team members. Further, you will have the opportunity to collaborate across engineering and operations teams to deliver solutions that empower team members to fulfill Chewy customer orders.\nWhat You'll Do:\nApply algorithms, data structures, and design patterns to build scalable and performant code\nDesign resilient systems for team member-facing web application from scratch \nPartner with stakeholders and cross functional technology teams on how to best implement desired customer features and enhancements\nCollaborate with Team Members to drive automated solutions to standardize methodologies, workflows, reusable modules, and tooling\nContribute to team’s standard processes for logging, testing, instrumentation, metrics, monitors, alerts, practices, and processes\nConduct design and code reviews and raise the bar on engineering rigor and standard \nParticipate in setting guidelines for evolving development practices, as well as mentoring junior engineers\nParticipate in on-call rotations, troubleshooting production issues and improving operational excellence\nWhat You'll Need:\nBachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or similar; or equivalent experience\n3+ years of professional software development experience\nExperience with cloud native technology stacks such as AWS Lambdas, S3, SQS/SNS\nExperience as a fullstack developer working in Java, React, Typescript or other related languages\nAbility to think independently and break down product requirements into well-defined tasks\nAbility to collaborate with stakeholders to ensure development efforts align with stakeholder needs\nExperience in monitoring production environment, troubleshooting, triaging and addressing production issues\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins or similar tool\nExperience with designing, building and deploying scalable, highly available systems \nBonus:\nHands-on experience with AI tools and proven ability to apply AI to drive productivity.\nExperience with scalable deployment technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes\nThe base salary range for this role is $115,000 - $184,500.00.The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant.
