Join the team that understands that caring for the pets we love starts with greater care for our veterinary teams.\nWhat You'll Do:\nResponsible for supporting the paraprofessional staff in implementing the outlined policies and procedures, utilizing integrated technology, and managing the practice operational functions and embodying the Chewy Vet Care culture to work collaboratively with your peers and deliver the pet parent WOW experience. \nWork with Practice Manager to provide continuous development for the practice team. Veterinary Team Lead will partner with Practice Manager to build Skill Growth plans for Para-staff and own the technical skill training execution and progress tracking.\nOperate as the site leader in absence of the Practice Manager.\nLead team coordination of inventory cycle counts and fulfill inventory needs requests.\nEngage with clients to ensure they receive excellent treatment and immediately resolve any conflicts or complaints.\nCover for staffing gaps in Practice as needed working in treatment, surgery and rooms.\nEnsure the equipment preventative maintenance cycles are completed on time.\nGuide the team in following the practice’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Standards of Care (SOC); review SOPs and practice metrics to help guide the team in improving their performance.\nResolve and de-escalate client concerns and work with Practice Manager to provide coaching to team members as needed.\nBe a PIMS administrative super-user and provide assistance to others on the team in their use of the technology. \nParticipation in self-development courses and Chewy Vet Care required compliance training.\nPerform related duties and assignments as directed by management.\nPosition may require some travel.\nWhat you’ll need:\nSuccessful completion of an accredited veterinary technology program and current licensure is preferred.\nExperience mentoring and leading others.\nDemonstrated ability to complete the veterinary technician skills checklist for Veterinary Technician III\n5+ years of experience as a Veterinary Technician in practice is preferred.\nStrong ability to connect with clients and demonstrate empathy and compassion.\nAbility to manage conflict resolution.\nExcellent verbal / written communication, observational, and analytical skills\nThrives in a fast paced, self-starter environment.\nPhysical job requirements:\nStanding or walking up to 80% per shift.\nFrequently lift up to 50 pounds.\nFrequently lift up to 70 pounds using an optional team lift.\nRarely lift greater than 70+ pounds using a team lift.\nStand, push, pull, carry, squat, and kneel.\nChewy Vet Care is an equal opportunity employer.
