The Credentialing Engineering team is working to drastically improve the speed and quality of credentialing to ensure that doctors and facilities can spend more time treating millions of patients each year and less time dealing with credentialing headaches.\nAs a Senior Software Engineer on the Credentialing Engineering team, you will design, develop, and maintain high-quality, secure, interconnected applications and systems. These applications and systems enable CHG and external customer credentialing specialists to verify the credentials and experience of medical providers quickly and accurately.\nThis role will report to a Sr. Software Engineering Manager.\nA little about our tech stack:\nNode.js + TypeScript + React\nApache Kafka, Temporal, Postgres DB\nAWS\nCloudFormation/Terraform\nKubernetes/Istio\nGrafana\nResponsibilities\nDevelop and maintain code for interconnected software systems with an eye to quality and security, using AI-enabled SDD methodology.\nDeliver proven and validated code with automated contract, unit, integration, and functional tests.\nCollaborate with business analysts, product managers, UI/UX designers, and other engineers to design the best solutions for users while following software architecture best practices.\nCommunicate and mentor effectively in a people-first, remote working environment, including offshore team members.\nParticipate in code-review process to ensure code quality and provide opportunities to mentor and be mentored.\nQualifications\nExperienced and capable with:\nNodeJS and Typescript\nWorkflow Orchestration Platforms like Temporal, Camunda, Pega, etc.\nRelational databases like Postgres, MySQL, etc.\nExperience working in a SaaS multi-tenant environment.\nDeveloping API-driven systems with GraphQL and REST.\nModern JavaScript-relevant testing framework (Jest, Mocha, Jasmine, etc.)\nFamiliar with AI-enabled SDD.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field, or equivalent experience\n10+ years’ experience as a software engineer\nPreferred\nExperience with:\nNestJS\nJest\nDistributed event-store / stream-processing platform (most preferably Apache Kafka)\nDistributed tracing\nWe believe in fair compensation for all of our people, which is why our pay structure takes into account the cost of labor across U.S. geographic markets. For this position, we offer a pay range of $130,500 -- $252,300 annually, with pay varying depending on work location and job-related factors such as knowledge, position level and experience.
