Headquartered in the new purpose-built and fully integrated Research and Development Centre in Parma (Italy), the team also has important operations in Paris (France), Chippenham (UK), Cary (US), Stockholm (Sweden), Toronto (Canada) and Shanghai (China).\nWho we are looking for\nThis is what you will do\nThe aim of this role is to develop data visualization according to stakeholders need. A Data Visualization Engineer plays a crucial role in transforming complex data into visually appealing and easily understandable formats. This role involves a combination of skills in data analysis, graphic design, and programming.\nYou will be responsible for\nData Analysis: Collecting, processing, and analysing large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.\nVisualization Design: Creating visual representations of data, such as charts, graphs, and dashboards, that effectively communicate insights to stakeholders.\n Tool Development: Developing and maintaining data visualization tools and software, often using programming languages like Python, R, or through visualization platforms (e.g. Spotfire, power BI).\nCollaboration: Working closely with data scientists and other modellers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver customized visual solutions.\n User Experience (UX): Ensuring that visualizations are not only informative but also user-friendly and accessible.\nContribute to write relevant documentation for development and for quality purposes\nWork with external partners, universities and consortia to implement state of the art models\nCommunicate findings and insights to the R&D team through reports and presentations.\nStay updated with the latest advancements in visualization techniques and pharmaceutical research.\nHelp dissemination and updating of emerging technologies and new product/process design methods within R&D.\n You will need to have\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.\nStrong skills in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), programming languages (e.g., Python, R, JavaScript), and data manipulation (e.g., SQL).\nStrong proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.\nStrong ability to understand the need and to translate it into theoretical equations and code\nStrong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.\nTeam-oriented with the ability to work in cross-functional environments.\nAttention to detail and commitment to scientific rigor and reproducibility.\nAdaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and methods\nWe would prefer for you to have\nExperience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI preferably within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences industry.\nLocation\nThe position is based in the HQ in Parma with hybrid working arrangements including working in presence and remote working.\nWhat we offer\nNo matter where your path starts at Chiesi, it leads to inspiring possibilities.
