AbilityOne participation is not required.\nChimes will ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodation to participate in the job application or interview process, to perform essential job functions, and to receive other benefits and privileges of employment.\nWhat you'll do\nConduct user research and analyze stakeholder and user feedback to define requirements, identify usability issues, and improve interface design.\n\nDevelop visual concepts, storyboards, site maps, page templates, prototypes, and interaction diagrams, and design responsive, accessible, privacy-conscious interfaces that align with project goals, user needs, and style guidelines.\n\nCollaborate with web developers, management, users, hosting providers, and network personnel to define requirements, prioritize needs, and resolve issues affecting the user experience.\n\nCreate and maintain design specifications and documentation covering product features, interface behavior, technical constraints, and test results.\n\nPlan, conduct, and document usability and cross-browser/device testing, and correct issues or refer them to appropriate personnel.\n\nSupport website creation and updates, including supporting code and content-style guidelines; weigh accessibility, privacy, performance, budget, and legal requirements in design decisions; and recommend design tools and technologies.\n\nWhat you bring\nBachelor’s degree in User Experience Design, Interaction Design, Web Design, Digital Media, or a related field preferred.\n\nA portfolio demonstrating relevant interface or web-design work may be required.\n\nEquivalent combinations of related education, training, and experience may be considered.\n\nThree (3) or more years of directly related technical experience.\n\nExperience documenting technical requirements, configurations, tests, changes, and results.\n\nExperience in government, regulated, or security-conscious environments preferred.\n\nDegrees and certifications in computer science, data science, or related fields are preferred, but equivalent education and experience are welcome.\nCompensation:This is a remote position open to candidates in the United States. Base salary is determined by the candidate’s work location, along with skills, experience, and internal equity. The ranges below reflect the minimum and maximum base pay for each geographic tier:\n\nTier 1 (Washington, DC and Northern Virginia): $41.07 - 47.23 per hour\n\nTier 2 (Los Angeles, CA, Baltimore, MD): $35.06 - $41.92 per hour\n\nTier 3 (New Castle, DE, Orlando, FL, and Dallas, TX): $29.98 - $36.26 per hour\n\nIf you’re unsure which tier applies to your location, your recruiter can confirm during the hiring process.\nWhy You’ll Love Working Here:\nMedical plan starting at $13.80/mo.
