Key Account Manager - Fresh produce

We are seeking a dynamic and confident Key Account Manager with experience in the fresh produce or FMCG industry to service our major retail customers and ensure that our service levels exceed our customers' expectations. This role reports directly to the Vice President of Sales and is integral to the strategic achievement of the organization's objectives.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Present category management data and insights to customers.
• Assist in the development of customer pricing protocols.
• Develop new business proposals and pricing recommendations.
• Support the development and execution of product pricing strategies.
• Lead cross-functional teams to support key strategic accounts.
• Develop accurate monthly volume and sales forecasts.
• Respond to requests for product information and prepare sales presentations.
• Set up new customers and products in internal systems.
• Manage key Austrian customer accounts, including annual negotiations, customer service, forecast management, claims handling, quality controls, and the development and implementation of tailored marketing activities.
• Manage regional accounts in Southern Germany; lead quarterly 360-degree meetings with regional Purchasing and Sales teams; and present and implement promotional plans and display placements.
• Oversee store management activities across Austria and Southern Germany, including store checks, management of MBUs, and coordination and oversight of Field Force employees.
• Develop the "Yellow Business" at the Vienna wholesale market.
• Drive new customer acquisition in Austria and Southern Germany.
• Represent Chiquita at trade fairs and relevant industry events.
• Prepare regular sales, customer and activity reports for management.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Marketing, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Fluent in both English and German.
• 3-6 years of experience in the fresh produce industry.
• Experience within the banana category and/or broader produce sector is highly preferred.
• Category management experience is preferred.
• Candidates must reside in the Salzburg area
