This role reports directly to the Vice President of Sales and is integral to the strategic achievement of the organization's objectives.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nPresent category management data and insights to customers.\nAssist in the development of customer pricing protocols.\nDevelop new business proposals and pricing recommendations.\nSupport the development and execution of product pricing strategies.\nLead cross-functional teams to support key strategic accounts.\nDevelop accurate monthly volume and sales forecasts.\nRespond to requests for product information and prepare sales presentations.\nSet up new customers and products in internal systems.\nManage key Austrian customer accounts, including annual negotiations, customer service, forecast management, claims handling, quality controls, and the development and implementation of tailored marketing activities.\nManage regional accounts in Southern Germany; lead quarterly 360-degree meetings with regional Purchasing and Sales teams; and present and implement promotional plans and display placements.\nOversee store management activities across Austria and Southern Germany, including store checks, management of MBUs, and coordination and oversight of Field Force employees.\nDevelop the \"Yellow Business\" at the Vienna wholesale market.\nDrive new customer acquisition in Austria and Southern Germany.\nRepresent Chiquita at trade fairs and relevant industry events.\nPrepare regular sales, customer and activity reports for management.\n Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Marketing, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.\nFluent in both English and German.\n3-6 years of experience in the fresh produce industry.\nExperience within the banana category and/or broader produce sector is highly preferred.\nCategory management experience is preferred.\nCandidates must reside in the Salzburg area","description_format":"text","description_chars":2492,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":3,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[{"language":"English","level":"All levels","optional":false}]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"Austria","iso":"AT","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Media & Entertainment","Supply Chain"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-11T13:56:40Z"}],"liveness":{"score":19,"band":"cold","label":"Long shot","p_open":1,"p_active":0.557,"p_room":0.35,"age_days":36,"expected_fill_days":15,"reasons":["conf:14","win:tail"],"computed_at":"2026-09-23T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/chiquita-key-account-manager-fresh-produce","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/chiquita-key-account-manager-fresh-produce.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-09-23T21:07:41Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers"}}
