Chiri must be one of their top answers.\nRole Overview\nWe're looking for an experienced Data Engineer with strong pharmacy data knowledge to build and operate reliable data pipelines for a new healthcare and pharmacy-finance platform.\nThis role combines pharmacy data expertise, SQL Server performance engineering, high availability, third-party data integration, and end-to-end pipeline observability.\nYou'll work with complex claims, eligibility, formulary, reference, and manufacturer reporting data that support critical business decisions.\nKey Responsibilities\nPharmacy Data Integration: Work with Medi-Span, NCPDP, NDCs, NPIs, and related pharmacy claims and reference datasets.\nData Pipelines: Design and build secure ingestion pipelines using SFTP, structured flat-file drops, and third-party data feeds.\nSQL Server Engineering: Optimize SQL Server performance, analyze execution plans, improve query efficiency, and manage indexed/materialized view strategies.\nHigh Availability: Work with SQL Server Always On Availability Groups and reliable database operations.\nData Quality: Implement validation rules, constraints, reconciliation, deduplication, schema monitoring, and exception handling for incoming third-party data.\nPipeline Observability: Build monitoring from the ground up to track ingestion, data freshness, failures, integrity, completeness, and processing performance.\nRequired Skills and Experience\nHands-on experience with pharmacy claims, reference data, and industry identifiers, including but not limited to Medi-Span, NCPDP, NDC, and NPI.\nStrong SQL Server and T-SQL development experience.\nExperience with SQL Server Always On Availability Groups.\nAdvanced SQL performance tuning, execution-plan analysis, indexing, and query optimization.\nExperience building reliable SFTP-based and flat-file ETL/ELT pipelines.\nExperience designing data quality frameworks, validation constraints, and monitoring for third-party feeds.\nExperience building operational dashboards, alerts, and observability for data pipelines.\nStrong understanding of data lineage, reconciliation, security, and production support.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with pharmacy rebate processing, PBMs, TPAs, or manufacturer reporting.\nExperience with Python-based data engineering and automation.\nExperience handling PHI and HIPAA-regulated data.\nExperience integrating high-volume batch pipelines with near-real-time applications.\nExperience with on-call rotations and availability.\nWhat We Offer\nThe opportunity to build the data foundation of a new platform where accuracy, reliability, and performance directly affect business outcomes.\nOur SCOUT Values\nOur values are not wall art.
