The Diet Aide assures all food items provided are complying to diet orders restriction’s, food allergies and meets patient satisfaction. The Diet Aide may visit patients or communicate with nursing staff to assure proper follow up on any concerns. The Diet Aide attends clinical nutrition meetings, in-services, and area specific meetings.Pay Range\nMinimum $23.00 Midpoint $27.16 Maximum $31.32Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.\n Experience\n* Required: Minimum of year of food service experience in healthcare.\n* Preferred: Two (2) years of previous food service work experience in Healthcare preferably with therapeutic diets.\nEducation \n* Required: High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent.\n* Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.\nTraining \n* Required: None Required\n* Preferred: ServSafe certification.\nSpecialized Skills \n* Required:\nKnowledge of nutrition food values, meal planning and therapeutic menu processes.\nAble to operate computer programs, calculator and copy machine.\nCustomer service telephone skills.\nGeneral kitchen knowledge in food safety, sanitation, and production.\nAbility to read: write legibly; communicate fluently in English (and Spanish preferred) with professional quality.\nAble to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others.\nAbility to organize time; promote teamwork to achieve CHOC’s mission; understand and exceed customer expectations.\nSimple math skills.\n* Preferred: Bilingual in English and Spanish.
