Because it’s embedded in daily operations, our SaaS platform has immediate, real-world impact, on efficiency, margins, and how businesses run day to day.\nMission\nAs a Solutions Engineer, you will deliver fast, reliable, API-driven integrations for mid-market customers by translating business workflows into scalable, repeatable technical solutions. You will partner closely with Sales and Customer Success to deliver best-in-class integration experiences that drive adoption and long-term success. This role is primarily customer-facing, with a strong focus on solution design and customer outcomes rather than traditional software development. You'll build integrations primarily with low-code tools, using light scripting where needed.\nWhat You’ll Do\nDesign, build, and deliver integrations between Choco and customer systems using low-code tools (e.g. n8n and Tray.ai).\n\nOwn integration projects end-to-end from discovery to go-live and ongoing improvement.\n\nPartner with Account Executives in pre-sales by leading technical discovery, proofs of concept, and integration scoping.\n\nTroubleshoot and maintain integrations to ensure reliability and performance, and document integration designs for clean handoffs to Customer Success.\n\nCollaborate closely with Customer Success, Implementation, and Product teams, sharing customer feedback to help shape the product roadmap.\n\nShare best practices and contribute to scaling integration delivery globally.\n\nWhat You Bring\n2+ years of experience in solutions engineering, IT/ERP consulting, or systems integration.\n\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.\n\nExperience managing end-to-end API integrations, including requirements gathering, solution design, implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing support across multiple customer environments.\n\nExperience with low-code or automation tools such as n8n, Zapier, and Tray.ai.\n\nBasic programming knowledge (e.g. JavaScript or Python) and working knowledge of REST APIs, JSON/XML, webhooks, authentication (OAuth, API keys), and data mapping.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a collaborative, solution-focused mindset.\n\nExcellent communicator with the ability to make complex ideas clear and simple.\n\nThis position requires in-office attendance 3 days per week (T/W/Th) in our Chicago office.\n\nNice to Have\nExperience with the ERP or ordering systems common among food and beverage distributors.\n\nBackground in food distribution, supply chain, or B2B SaaS.\n\nFamiliarity with EDI, SFTP/flat-file integrations, or basic SQL.\n\nComfort using AI tools to speed up discovery, documentation, and integration builds.\n\nWhat you get\nWork on digitalizing core operating systems for food distributors, automating orders, sales and payments in a system that still largely runs on calls and spreadsheets.\n\nWork with an AI product with proven product-market fit, already embedded in distributor workflows and directly affecting order accuracy, speed, and margins.\n\nJoin a global team across 6 countries and 40+ nationalities, building a company that has raised $300M+ and reached unicorn status (~$1.2B valuation) with the ambition to define this category end-to-end.\n\nIn return, you get real ownership, equity, and the support to do your best work, including competitive compensation, health and wellbeing support, and long-term benefits like a sabbatical (all localized by office).\n\nCollaborate with people who want to own outcomes in a messy, real-world system and make it work at scale.\n\nIf you want to work on real problems, take ownership, and raise the bar, we should talk.\nChoco is an equal opportunity employer.
