You’ll be joining a growing team of passionate Software Engineers who foster a culture of shared ownership, teamwork, and engineering excellence.\nAs a Senior Software Engineer, you will help build the infrastructure that powers large-scale consumer disbursements. This includes systems responsible for:\nPayment orchestration across multiple rails (ACH, prepaid cards, digital wallets, and checks)\nTransaction lifecycle management, settlement, and reconciliation\nFraud detection and risk decisioning\nLedgering and financial record systems\nHigh-reliability APIs used by enterprise clients to initiate and track payments\nOur platform processes large volumes of financial transactions and requires systems that are secure, observable, and highly resilient.\nKey Responsibilities\nTechnical Architecture & Execution\nDesign, build, and own various backends components of the Choice Digital platform\nCollaborate with the engineering team to design and implement solutions using micro-service and service-oriented architectures\nEnhance existing DevOps for best practices for continuous integration, testing, deployment, and scaling\nEnsure implementation meets the highest quality and security standards\nStrategic Planning & Governance\nWork directly with Product Management and Engineering Management to plan and prioritize work\nOwn backend components, and establish and enforce standards for security and quality across the platform\nQualifications and Experience\nRequired:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent field, OR 5+ years of experience in software design and development\nBasic knowledge of Google Cloud Platform or AWS and containerization/infrastructure-as-code tools (Docker, Terraform)\nThorough understanding of Object-Oriented Design and Development\nExperience with software testing methodologies and strategies\nMastery of Python and an ability to learn new technologies quickly\nVery comfortable with SQL and noSQL databases, such as Postgres and Redis\nUnderstanding of Git/Source Control best practices\nAbility to adjust priorities to delivery schedules\nMust have a passion for building GREAT software\nPreferred:\nExperience in payments, fintech, banking, or financial infrastructure\nfamiliarity with payment rails such as: ACH, card networks (Visa/Mastercard), mobile wallets, experience integrating with third-party financial services or payment processors\nExperience working with systems that handle sensitive financial or personal data and require strong security practices\nExperience designing and implementing ledgering or financial record systems\nWhat we Offer\nCompetitive annual compensation range of $140,000 to $160,000\nAnnual bonus linked to company success and your personal performance\nEquity offerings through stock options\n401(k) retirement savings match (up to 4%)\nUnlimited PTO policy\nCompany paid holidays\nMedical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance\nIn compliance with Colorado state law, pay for this position is anticipated to be between $140,000 and $160,000.
