The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of services related to the administration of accounts receivable for specified retail and commercial properties inclusive of but not limited to Cash Receipts processing, Collection Calls, Tenant Statements, and updating collection notes in Power BI.\nResponsibilities:\nReview daily bank statements and bank files for incoming funds and NSF payments.\nPromptly apply cash to tenant’s accounts receivable.\nMaintain tenant contact information.\nContact tenant either by email or phone about arrears based on escalation guidelines.\nWork with Property Management team on account reconciliations, to update annual rental advise notices and send to tenant, and to prepare “PAD” for approval.\nAttend monthly Property Management Accounts Receivable meetings, take minutes, and track action items.\nUpdate Power BI for collection notes.\nLiaise with the Revenue Accounting team on any outstanding bank items for quick resolution.\nTrack bad debt write off forms, ensuring approvals are in-line with policy and adequate support is attached.\nPerform other duties, as assigned.\nQualifications:\n3-5 years real estate property administration experience.\nKnowledge of commercial real estate documents.\nStrong understanding of property management terminology, principles, and procedures.\nWorking knowledge of basic real estate accounting principles.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills combined with an approachable manner.\nExperience with JDE or equivalent property management software (Yardi or SAP) is an asset.\nStrong customer service orientation.\nExcellent planning and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail for reliable accuracy.\nAbility to work well under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines.\nStrong computer skills, specifically with Excel.\nAccounts Receivable experience is an asset.\nA self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.\nAbout Choice Properties\nChoice Properties Real Estate Investment Trust is an owner, manager and developer of well-located retail and commercial real estate across Canada.
