Success in this role requires exceptional analytical capabilities, financial acumen, relationship-building skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple levels of the organization.\nNote: This role is 4 days onsite in North Bethesda, MD and is not eligible for visa sponsorship now or in the future.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nFinancial Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting\nServe as the strategic finance partner for assigned commercial and marketing functions.\n\nLead annual, quarterly, monthly, and long-range planning processes.\n\nManage SG&A, headcount, revenue, expense, and key metric forecasting activities.\n\nPerform variance analyses, identify risks and opportunities, and communicate actionable recommendations.\n\nDevelop and maintain financial models and analytical tools to support business planning and performance management.\n\nPartner across functions to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and optimize financial results.\n\nStrategic Analysis & Decision Support\nProvide financial and operational insights to support leadership decision-making.\n\nAnalyze business performance and identify trends, risks, growth opportunities, and revenue drivers.\n\nServe as the primary financial subject matter expert for supported business functions.\n\nPartner with business leaders to translate strategic objectives into actionable long-range financial plans.\n\nEvaluate investment opportunities through financial modeling, scenario analysis, and business case development.\n\nAssess future growth strategies and funding requirements and recommend financially sound solutions.\n\nBusiness Partnership & Influence\nAct as a trusted advisor to business leaders by providing financial guidance and strategic recommendations.\n\nCommunicate performance results, financial trends, and key insights to stakeholders at all organizational levels.\n\nBuild strong cross-functional relationships that facilitate collaboration and alignment to business objectives.\n\nSupport cross-functional initiatives from concept through implementation.\n\nPresent complex financial information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nEmployment Experience\n4+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, consulting, or a related field with increasing levels of responsibility.\n\nExperience driving business performance through financial analysis, planning, and decision support.\n\nHospitality industry experience or familiarity with franchise business models preferred.\n\nTechnical Skills\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills with demonstrated expertise building and maintaining complex financial models.\n\nExperience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial planning methodologies.\n\nExperience with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP and/or Oracle Smart View is preferred.\n\nTableau and SQL experience preferred.\n\nStrong financial modeling and data-driven decision-making capabilities.\n\nAdditional Skills & Competencies\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\n\nAbility to influence cross-functional partners and senior leaders.\n\nStrong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.\n\nAbility to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.\n\nStrong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills.\n\nResults-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.\n\nDemonstrates integrity, respect, and alignment with Choice Hotels' values.\n\nEducation Requirements\nBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and work experience.\n\nRelevant finance, accounting, analytics, or business certifications preferred.\n\nSalary Range\nThe salary range for this position is $114,907 - $125,000.
