These apps are a highly visible and revenue-generating part of our digital experience, enabling guests to book stays, manage reservations, and engage with our loyalty program.\nAs a key member of this team, you will take ownership of complex Android development projects, help set technical direction, and mentor junior engineers - ensuring our apps continue to scale, perform, and deliver exceptional user experiences.\nIf you are a self-driven engineer with leadership qualities who thrives on solving complex technical challenges and delivering mobile apps at scale, we invite you to apply today and #MakeItYourChoice.\nYour Responsibilities\nLead development of complex Android features and system components, balancing business needs with technical quality.\nServe as a subject matter expert in Android development, providing guidance on best practices, code quality, performance, and scalability.\nMentor and support junior engineers (SE1/SE2) through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.\nProactively identify technical risks, architectural improvements, and opportunities for innovation in the mobile ecosystem.\nCollaborate effectively with cross-functional partners (Product, UX/UI, Analytics, Backend) to deliver high-impact business features.\nDrive initiatives around CI/CD, automation, observability, and system reliability.\nContribute to technical documentation, architecture discussions, and decision-making processes.\nParticipate in production support and root cause analysis for critical issues, driving long-term improvements.\nYour Experience, Skills & Competencies\nBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.\n5+ years of experience developing Android applications in Java and Kotlin.\nExperience with Kotlin Multiplatform with JetPack Compose or Swift is a strong plus.\n 5+ years of experience with source control (Git preferred), branching strategies, and code collaboration workflows.\nProven track record of shipping apps to the Google Play Store and maintaining them in production.\nExperience developing and maintaining highly transactional, mission-critical, consumer-facing mobile apps.\nProficient in writing and maintaining unit tests (JUnit, Mockito), UI tests (Espresso), and automated integration tests.\nExperience with build tools and CI/CD pipelines (Gradle, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Harness, or similar).\nFamiliarity with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and real-time communication (WebSockets, Firebase).\nStrong knowledge of mobile security best practices (encryption, secure storage, authentication).\nCompetencies demonstrated: Technical Leadership, Problem Solving & Decision Quality, Collaboration & Communication.\nYour Team\nThis is an individual contributor role that will report to the Senior Engineering Manager, Mobile Apps.
