The successful candidate will need to be an independent, high-achieving individual, able to provide tactical and strategic support in specific aspects of our finances.\nThe ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting financial operations and ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions. As a Junior Accounting Associate, you will work closely with the finance team to maintain financial records, reconcile accounts, and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization.\nYou'll work side by side with a tight-knit team of creative problem solvers. So, an ideal candidate will be solution-oriented and apply a high level of rigor and attention to detail to work. You should be able to multitask and reprioritize workstreams according to rapidly changing developments and have a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.\nThis role is full-time. You will report directly to the Finance Manager.\nIn this role, you'll be required to:\nManage transactions related to the general ledger, receivables, payables, payroll, and financial reporting for vendors.\nManage vendor cash flow and ensure timely settlement to vendors and partners.\nPrepare annual, monthly, and weekly reports on revenues, profits, and expenses for submission to other managers, stakeholders, and external analysts.\nMaintain relationships with vendors and partners; represent the company to banks, financial institutions, and vendors.\nOversee all vendor accounts and reporting systems, ensuring they are compliant with regulatory requirements.\nKnowledge of accounting software (Sage, QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).\nMake sure internal controls are strong and other processes related to Finance are compliant.\nWork with the company leaders to define financial projections for vendors.\nAssist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.\nProvide support for financial audit.\nAssist in month-end and year-end closing procedures.\nYou're perfect for the role if you:\nhave 0-1 year of related finance(or finance-related) experience\nhave a Bachelor’s degree(minimum of 2nd class upper honors); concentration in accounting or finance preferred\nhave solid experience with financial analysis and forecasting, including experience with three statement financial modeling, preparing statistical reports and making recommendations based on analysis and research.\nhave started professional qualifications such as ICAN, ACCA, CFA, CPA, CIA or CISA.\nhave strong priority management skills.\nhave strong oral and written communication skills.\nare intellectually honest.\nare not afraid to say your mind.\nBonus points if you:\nHave previous experience in a Big Four, top-tier consulting firm, fintech, financial institution, e-commerce, OR Logistics company.\nBeyond the paycheck, Chowdeck employees get:\nIn addition to your monthly salary, this role offers:\na lunch allowance to support your daily needs.\na laptop to facilitate your work tasks\nmedical coverage, ensuring your well-being.\nsmart and kind colleagues genuinely invested in your growth\nChowdeck is an equal-opportunity employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
