Our team is a tight-knit group of creative problem solvers who are smart, kind, and committed to helping each other grow.\nWhere you come in\nWe're looking for an experienced Mobile Engineer at Chowdeck who'll be responsible for building the mobile interfaces through which customers interact with our products. We have three mobile apps: the customer app, where people order food; our vendors' app, used by restaurants; and the Rider's app, used by delivery drivers. We use React Native and JavaScript but also leverage native APIs for deep integrations.\nWe're looking for curious, empathetic, and kind people who want to continue their careers at a fast-growing tech startup that cares deeply about personal and professional development.\nIn this role you'll be required to:\nBuild and maintain features on one or more of our three mobile apps for customers, vendors and riders\nBuild app and UI components from prototypes and wireframes\nBuild pixel-perfect, smooth UIs across both major mobile platforms, iOS and Android.\nLeverage native APIs for deep integrations with both platforms when necessary\nContinuously Improve front-end performance by eliminating performance bottlenecks.\nDiagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks so our apps feel as native as possible.\nMaintain code and write automated tests to ensure our products are of the highest quality.\nWork with engineers across the company to build and maintain new features at large-scale.\nImprove engineering standards, tooling, and processes.\nYou’re perfect for the Senior Mobile Engineer role if you:\nare motivated by the opportunity to improve the lives of our restaurants, riders and customers.\nhave significant professional experience building large, production-grade mobile apps and experience as a team or technical lead is a plus.\nhave a firm handle on JavaScript, React Native and its many nuances\nare familiar with native build tools such as XCode and Gradle as well as Fastlane for automated CI/CD\nhave fundamental knowledge of Node, JavaScript, and MySQL\nhave experience building delight into products using animations where necessary\nhave experience using and implementing automated testing suites for mobile\ncan write code that meets our
