This role works closely with the Service Manager to oversee the quality of work on our guests vehicles and shop efficiency.\nWe are looking for technicians/mechanics who are energetic, upbeat and have a positive attitude. The technicians we are looking for have to seek out solutions to tough problems with a strong passion for doing what’s right for our guest.\nResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:\nWork with the service department to distribute work to technicians\nManage and oversee individual technician workloads and overall workflow in the service area\nOversee technician team progress through internal training requirements and coach technicians to prepare for certifications\nAbility to flag 30+ Hours Weekly\nTrain and mentor new technicians \nHelp other technicians diagnose and repair vehicles when necessary (i.e., misdiagnosis, employee development, etc.)\nConduct quarterly technician performance touchpoints to establish and monitor the progress of career goals and employee performance\nManage technician team-building opportunities \nEducate technician team to uphold brand and quality standards of the team to troubleshoot customer concerns quickly and effectively\nManage and maintain shop supplies and equipment \nMonitor bulk fluid levels\nMonitor shop efficiency through technician hours reports and ticket audit process\nManage scan tool subscriptions\nDistribute shop housekeeping tasks among all technicians by promoting our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization\nManage and oversee technician work schedule\nEnforce safety regulations and protocols \nWork closely with the service department and effectively communicate customer concerns and assist with customer complaint resolution when necessary \n Qualifications:\nPositive attitude and a desire to serve guest\n7+ years of experience as an automotive technician/mechanic\nExcellent automotive diagnostic skills\nA strong investment in tools\nAbility to Flag 30+ hours per week - depending on shop needs\nASE A1-A8 Certifications required, Master L1 preferred\nCapable of diagnosing and repairing all makes/models of vehicles\nMeet or exceed hourly goals\nAptitude for learning additional skills and processes\nProfessional appearance and strong communication\nA desire for long-term career development\nPhysical Requirements:\nOccasionally lift and/or move over 50 pounds\nBe able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head\nWork in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle’s needed repair\nHave the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand tools\nWalk/stand for the majority of their workday\nDrive manual transmissions vehicles\nEfficiently navigate a computer\n Christian Brothers Automotive (CBA) began in 1982 with the simple premise of providing precision auto repair with transparency, integrity and a philosophy of people first.
