The work hours are evening shift, Monday through Friday 3:00pm - 11:30pm. This position requires every other weekend and 2-3 holidays per year.\nPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities:\nProcess, sort, and deliver laboratory specimens and request slips\nPrint and properly affix identification labels to all incoming patient specimens\nPrioritize incoming work, ensuring samples for stat testing are delivered to the appropriate laboratory section in order to maintain stated turnaround times\nCommunicate specimen priority to testing personnel upon delivery\nQualifications:\nAssociate degree or higher in biology, chemistry or health science required or a High School diploma with at least five years of experience working in specimen processing from similar hospital system.\nWhen you become an employee at ChristianaCare, you are joining a robust healthcare organization that truly cares about their patients and their caregivers.
