This role leads and trains technicians, ensures rental equipment meets quality standards, coordinates workloads to meet shipping deadlines, manages inventory and supplies, and maintains a clean, safe, and organized department. Experience in live event production, entertainment lighting, or rental warehouse operations, along with prior supervisory experience, is preferred.\nCORE RESPONSIBILITIES\nLead a department team of technicians and assigned temp labor, reporting to the Warehouse Manager.\nAssign orders to technicians for pulling, staging and QC, and confirm all orders are 100% pulled on the Outbound Pulling Dashboard.\nEnsure all orders with a next-day stage date are staged and in the staging area by end of day.\nMake sure daily equipment checks are completed within 30 minutes of shop opening.\nHold the department to QC standards so only gear that has passed QC goes out on rental, and route failed equipment to repair.\nMaintain barcode and RFID tags and drive consistent RFID scanning in the department.\nFlag orders at risk for the next day, along with temp or extra labor needs.\nReport equipment and supply shortages to the Warehouse Manager and submit department shop supply orders.\nKeep the department clean and organized to the daily, weekly and monthly standards.\nTrain and develop technicians, and support physical inventory counts when directed.\nCABLES DEPARTMENT HEAD\nOversee cleaning, inspection and testing of all cables before rental.\nEquipment scope: Power Cables, data Cables, adapters.\nTroubleshoot and verify control, data and power equipment, and complete repair check-in process with Service department when necessary.\nUnderstand the system to identify spike in the demand for labor adjustment and proactively anticipate the needs of headcount in the shop.\nRequirements\nExperience in entertainment lighting, live event production, or a rental warehouse environment (preferrable).\nPrior lead or supervisory experience, including assigning work and holding a team to deadlines.\nComfortable working in a warehouse management system and handheld scanners; RFID experience is a plus.\nStrong organization and attention to detail; able to manage multiple orders against fixed ship dates.\nClear communicator with the Warehouse Manager, other departments and Project Managers.\nReliable, consistent and process-minded;
