Domestic and international travel is required for network installations, upgrades, troubleshooting, site assessments, and other infrastructure projects.\nKey Responsibilities\n1. Global Network Infrastructure Management\nServe as a primary technical resource responsible for wired and wireless networking infrastructure across all company locations worldwide.\nDesign, implement, administer, monitor, and maintain LAN, WLAN, WAN, firewall, and VPN infrastructure.\nEstablish and maintain consistent network architecture, configuration standards, and security practices across global facilities.\nSupport the deployment of network infrastructure at new locations, facility expansions, relocations, and renovations.\nIndependently plan and execute network upgrades, hardware replacements, and infrastructure improvements.\nRemotely diagnose and resolve network issues affecting domestic and international locations.\nCoordinate with local personnel, telecommunications providers, contractors, and equipment vendors.\nMaintain accurate network topology diagrams, IP addressing documentation, equipment inventories, and configuration records.\nIdentify opportunities to improve network reliability, performance, security, and standardization.\nParticipate in network infrastructure planning, lifecycle management, and technology refresh initiatives.\n2. Enterprise Wireless Network Engineering\nDesign, deploy, configure, optimize, and maintain enterprise Wi-Fi networks, primarily using Ubiquiti UniFi equipment.\nConduct predictive and physical wireless site surveys, RF assessments, and post-installation validation.\nDevelop wireless coverage and capacity plans based on facility layouts, building materials, device density, and operational requirements.\nDetermine appropriate wireless access point placement, antenna selection, channel assignments, and transmit power settings.\nConfigure and optimize wireless networks using 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz technologies where applicable.\nSupport Wi-Fi 5, Wi-Fi 6/6E, and Wi-Fi 7 technologies.\nConfigure SSIDs, VLAN assignments, wireless security, guest access, and enterprise authentication.\nTroubleshoot wireless roaming, interference, authentication failures, intermittent connectivity, and performance degradation.\nOptimize wireless connectivity for handheld scanners, Android devices, laptops, and other business-critical mobile equipment.\nDesign wireless solutions for challenging environments, including warehouses, industrial facilities, high ceilings, metal shelving, and areas with significant RF interference.\nAdminister Ubiquiti UniFi Network management platforms and maintain consistent wireless configuration standards.\nUtilize wireless survey, spectrum analysis, packet capture, and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve complex RF issues.\nExtensive hands-on wireless design and troubleshooting experience is essential.\n3. Cisco LAN Switching & Network Design\nDesign and implement moderately complex enterprise LAN environments.\nConfigure, administer, and troubleshoot Cisco Catalyst switches running Cisco IOS and IOS XE.\nPerform switch configuration and troubleshooting using the Cisco command-line interface.\nConfigure and maintain Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching, VLANs, trunking, and inter-VLAN routing.\nConfigure and troubleshoot STP/RSTP, EtherChannel/LACP, ACLs, and PoE.\nImplement IP addressing schemes, subnetting, static routing, and dynamic routing where appropriate.\nTroubleshoot switching loops, broadcast storms, network congestion, and connectivity failures.\nDesign reliable network uplinks, switching architectures, and redundant network connections where required.\nPlan and execute switch replacements, firmware upgrades, and configuration changes.\nMaintain consistent switching standards and configuration documentation across company locations.\n4. Cisco Meraki Firewall, VPN & WAN Administration\nConfigure, administer, and troubleshoot Cisco Meraki MX security appliances.\nMaintain firewall rules, NAT policies, routing, VLAN interfaces, and network segmentation.\nConfigure and support Meraki Auto VPN and IPsec site-to-site VPN connections.\nAdminister and troubleshoot remote-access VPN services, including Cisco AnyConnect / Cisco Secure Client.\nSupport WAN connectivity, multiple internet service providers, failover, and load balancing.\nTroubleshoot VPN connectivity and performance between geographically distributed locations.\nMonitor firewall health, WAN performance, and network security events.\nCoordinate with domestic and international internet service providers to resolve service disruptions.\nImplement and maintain network security best practices and appropriate access controls.\n5. Network Troubleshooting & Operational Support\nIndependently troubleshoot complex wired, wireless, firewall, routing, and WAN connectivity issues.\nDiagnose network problems involving TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, authentication, and network security.\nAnalyze packet captures, network logs, monitoring data, and performance metrics.\nTroubleshoot intermittent network failures, wireless roaming problems, packet loss, latency, and throughput issues.\nProvide remote technical support to facilities across multiple geographic regions and time zones.\nCoordinate on-site troubleshooting with local personnel when physical access is required.\nPerform root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective solutions.\nSupport network connectivity for business-critical applications, operational equipment, and mobile computing devices.\nParticipate in scheduled maintenance activities and provide support for critical network incidents outside normal business hours when necessary.\n6. Network Security, Documentation & Standards\nMaintain network segmentation, access controls, and secure connectivity between facilities.\nSupport RADIUS, 802.1X, and network authentication integrations.\nMaintain network equipment firmware, configuration backups, and recovery procedures.\nDevelop and maintain standardized network configurations and deployment procedures.\nDocument physical and logical network architecture for all locations.\nMaintain accurate equipment inventories, circuit information, and infrastructure records.\nImplement change management procedures to minimize business disruption.\nAssist with network-related security investigations and remediation activities.\n7. Domestic & International Travel\nTravel to domestic and international company locations to perform network assessments, installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting.\nConduct on-site wireless surveys and evaluate facility-specific network requirements.\nOversee or perform installation and configuration of switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and related infrastructure.\nCoordinate with local facility management, contractors, and service providers.\nValidate network performance and functionality following installations or upgrades.\nProvide on-site technical assistance during significant network incidents or infrastructure projects.\nWork independently while traveling and manage project activities with limited on-site IT resources.\nAccommodate occasional work outside normal business hours to support international operations and minimize disruption to business activities.\nRequirements\nProfessional Experience\nMinimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering, network administration, or a closely related infrastructure role.\nMinimum of 3 years of substantial experience designing, deploying, and troubleshooting enterprise or business-critical Wi-Fi networks.\nDemonstrated ability to independently design and implement moderately complex LAN environments.\nExperience supporting network infrastructure across multiple business locations.\nExperience performing network installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting with minimal supervision.\nStrong understanding of network troubleshooting methodologies and root cause analysis.\nRequired Technical Skills\nWireless Networking\nStrong hands-on experience with Ubiquiti UniFi wireless infrastructure and management.\nAdvanced knowledge of RF fundamentals, wireless coverage, capacity planning, interference, channel planning, and roaming.\nExperience conducting wireless site surveys and validating wireless deployments.\nExperience troubleshooting difficult wireless connectivity and performance problems.\nKnowledge of WPA2/WPA3, 802.1X, RADIUS, and wireless network segmentation.\nCisco Switching\nStrong proficiency with Cisco Catalyst switches and Cisco
