The Christman Company is looking for a Preconstruction Manager to strategically lead our Estimating and Planning services for the region.\nWhat You Will Do:\nAs a Preconstruction Manager, you will work closely with the Vice President of Preconstruction to assist in managing the regional preconstruction department, focusing on allocating resources, project strategies, and maintaining a high-performance team.\nWhat You Will Do:\nAs Preconstruction Manager, your primary daily responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:\nResponsible for preconstruction deliverables to clients.\nDevelops a strategy for each assigned project.\nProvides support to business sales, team sales, and presentations.\nRisk management - ensures sound financial deals.\nDrives cost leadership.\nOversees and prepares estimates for projects at all stages.\nEnsures accuracy of estimates produced.\nResponsible to ensure that the costing database is current and includes labor and material updates.\nOversees the value-added process for each project.\nTakes lead in preparing guaranteed maximum prices and brings guaranteed maximum prices to closure.\nDirects, reviews, approves the work of Estimating Engineers, Conceptual Estimators, and Senior Estimators.\nDrives deadlines and achieves results.\nEnsures client satisfaction during preconstruction.\nAttends sales presentations and markets work to existing clients. \nEnforce and support project planning and logistics and scheduling with other teams.\nEnsures involvement of subcontractors for pricing.\nSupports operation team during subcontractor negotiations.\nContinuously develops staff by mentoring, leading, motivating, and coaching (e.g., Ethics, Diversity, Quality, Development, Safety). \nManages successful client relationships. \nWhat You Will Bring to the Team:\nRequired Education and Experience:\nBachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related job field. \nTen (10) or more years of experience in construction preconstruction or estimating role.\nOr equivalent combination of the above education, training, and experience.\nAdditional Eligibility Requirements\nStrong analytical and organizational skills and ability to delegate tasks, motivate colleagues, and manage stakeholder's priorities in a deadline-oriented environment. \nRecognizes problems or situations that are new or without clear precedent; evaluates alternatives and finds solutions using a systematic multi-step approach.\nCreates a sense of belonging and ownership among team members; assembles teams with the right mix of skills; coaches and motivates team members; delegates responsibility; promotes mutual support and interactions. \nAbility to make decisions while analyzing the risks and future impacts of them.
