The Christman Company is looking for a Project Engineer in our Central Michigan region!\nWhat You Will Do:\nAs Project Engineer, your primarydaily responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:\nProduce and organize project and professional documents consistent with Christman standards and risk management standards for the document type to enable team members to readily access necessary documentation.\n\nProactively prepare project documents for close-out, turnover, and archiving to allow efficient final compilation and delivery on schedule, as well as secure all necessary contractually required documents, including safety programs, Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) documents for all required chemicals and materials used on the project, and quality control plans.\n\nPlan, communicate, and process close-out documents of all subcontracts as work concludes.\n\nAccurately summarize important discussions, questions, and decisions raised during regular project team meetings, owner meetings, and weekly subcontractor meetings.\n\nPartner with client and architect to establish punch-list contents.\n\nUtilize current technology to expedite the punch list process. The goal is to complete the punch list 30 days after substantial completion.\n\nAssist the Project Manager with identifying necessary inspections and create project-specific inspection logs according to Christman standards.\n\nProvides information on all procurement, material tracking, and inspections to the Project Superintendent.\n\nManage the RFI process and ensure that information is flowing timely to all parties.\n\nUpdate contract drawings to reflect all approved changes and ensure trade contractor documents update.\n\nOrganize and prioritize submittal requirements specified in contract documents and review for completeness.\n\nSupports Project Superintendent by monitoring quality of work and compliance with construction documents as assigned by the Project Superintendent.\n\nAssist the Project Superintendent with daily reports and the management of all progress and quality photos.\n\nSupports the logistics process for all safety initiatives listed in the site specific safety plan.\n\nWhat You Will Bring to the Team:\nRequired experience, knowledge, and skills for this role include:\nBachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related job field.\n\nMinimum one (1) year of construction industry experience.
