What you do here has real-world impact—every day.\n\nShift: 4th shift, Friday-Sunday 7:00am-7:00pm\nUnion: This position is represented by Local 475.\nStarting Rate: $31.55/hr\nTraining: New hires must be available to train on 1st shift, Monday-Friday, 7:00a-3:00p for a minimum of 90 days before transitioning to their regularly assigned shift.\n\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nOperate Vacuum Overlay Coating equipment in accordance with established specifications, quality requirements, and production schedules.\nMonitor coating parameters and programs to ensure compliance with process requirements.\nSet up charging chambers, tooling, and equipment for production runs.\nOperate coating equipment in both manual and automatic modes.\nMonitor and maintain vacuum, water, air, and gas systems that support coating operations.\nPerform routine turn-around maintenance and equipment inspections.\nMake minor E.B. gun adjustments based on coating chemistry and weight gain requirements.\nRead and follow work instructions, process documentation, and operating procedures.\nEnsure product quality standards are met while maintaining production targets.\nFollow all safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent preferred.\nAbility to read, understand, and follow work instructions.\nAbility to operate Vacuum Overlay Coating equipment and understand associated systems and controls.\nWorking knowledge of control panels, coating programs, process parameters, tooling requirements, and part specifications.\nUnderstanding of vacuum, water, air, and gas systems used in coating operations.\nAbility to set up charging chambers and prepare equipment for production.\nAbility to perform routine maintenance activities.\nStrong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.\nAbility to wear a respirator and comply with all PPE requirements.\nAbility to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.\n\nNice to Have\nPrevious experience operating vacuum coating, thermal processing, or other industrial manufacturing equipment.\nExperience working in aerospace, metals processing, or related manufacturing environments.\nMechanical aptitude and troubleshooting experience.\nExperience performing preventative or routine equipment maintenance.\n\nWork Environment & Physical Requirements\nWork is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, moving equipment, noise, fumes, and varying temperatures.\nFrequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching throughout the workday.\nRegular lifting and movement of materials up to 30 pounds.\nRequired use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to all safety
