This role supports daily kitchen operations by ensuring timely food preparation, maintaining a clean workspace, and contributing to a high-quality dining experience for hotel guests.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nPrepare and cook menu items according to recipes, specifications, and presentation standards.\nSet up and maintain an organized workstation before, during, and after service.\nEnsure food is prepared and served accurately, consistently, and in a timely manner.\nFollow proper food handling, storage, sanitation, and food safety procedures.\nMonitor ingredient freshness and communicate inventory or supply needs.\nCoordinate with kitchen team members to maintain efficient service.\nClean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.\nMaintain open communication with the Hotel Manager regarding issues, priorities, and opportunities for improvement.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nPrevious line cook or professional kitchen experience preferred.\nKnowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen equipment.\nUnderstanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food storage practices.\nAbility to follow recipes and maintain consistent food quality and presentation.\nStrong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.\nAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.\nFood handler certification as required by local regulations.\nREPORTS TO\nThis position is a direct report to the department supervisor or on-site Hotel Manager.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nWork is performed in a professional hotel kitchen, with exposure to heat, steam, noise, and fast-paced service periods. The role requires close collaboration with kitchen and hotel staff, including flexible scheduling for weekends and holidays as needed.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nThis position requires prolonged standing and walking, frequent bending and reaching, and the ability to lift and carry kitchen supplies and food items.
