You’ll shape the architecture, design custom electronics, write firmware, and get hands-on at the bench to bring it all together.\nWe’re looking for a builder: someone who enjoys moving between a schematic, a firmware debugger, and an oscilloscope-and finds satisfaction in solving the problems that connect them.\nWhy ChromoLogic?\nChromoLogic LLC is an innovation and R&D company developing technologies for medical, aerospace, and security applications. Our work brings together electronics, embedded software, optics, sensors, communications, and mechanical systems.\nThis isn’t a narrowly defined design-support role. You’ll have meaningful ownership of the systems you develop, collaborate across disciplines, and help shape technical decisions from the start. Your work won’t stop at a design review-you’ll see it become a physical, testable, manufacturable product.\nWhat you’ll do\nOwn the design, from requirements to reality\nTranslate product requirements into practical system architectures and production-ready electronic designs\nCreate schematics and multilayer PCB layouts using Altium, KiCad, Eagle, or comparable EDA tools\nSelect components with performance, availability, reliability, manufacturability, board space, and cost in mind\nWork closely with software, mechanical, optical, manufacturing, and product teams to make sound system-level tradeoffs\nBuild the firmware that makes it work\nDevelop, debug, and maintain embedded firmware in C/C++\nImplement bare-metal or RTOS-based architectures suited to the product’s timing, reliability, and resource requirements\nWork with microcontroller platforms such as ARM Cortex/STM32, AVR, PIC, or similar devices\nIntegrate and validate interfaces such as BLE, CAN, SPI, I²C, UART, and USB\nBring hardware to life at the bench\nAssemble and modify prototypes through SMD soldering, fine-pitch rework, wiring, cable crimping, and enclosure integration\nLead board bring-up and troubleshoot interactions between hardware, firmware, sensors, power, and communications\nUse JTAG/SWD debuggers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and other lab equipment to investigate failures and verify performance\nDevelop test procedures and validate designs under real operating conditions\nHelp turn prototypes into reliable products\nCreate clear design documentation, firmware documentation, test procedures, and manufacturing packages\nSupport prototype builds, design verification, supplier coordination, and production ramp\nInvestigate field issues and turn what you learn into better designs\nWhat you’ll bring\nA BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a closely related discipline\nTypically, 5+ years of relevant experience spanning embedded hardware, firmware, PCB design, and prototype development\nExperience designing microcontroller-based electronics and writing C/C++ for resource-constrained systems\nPractical PCB design skills, including stack-up planning, grounding, mixed-signal or high-speed layout, power integrity, EMC considerations, and design for manufacturing\nConfidence working at the bench: assembling prototypes, making modifications, probing signals, and methodically isolating problems\nThe ability to explain technical decisions clearly and collaborate across engineering disciplines\nYou don’t need experience with every microcontroller, interface, or EDA tool listed here. We’re most interested in strong fundamentals, demonstrated project ownership, and the ability to learn unfamiliar technologies and get them working.\nYou’ll enjoy this role if…\nYou like understanding the whole system-not just your piece of it\nYou’re equally comfortable writing firmware, routing a board, and picking up a soldering iron\nYou enjoy fast prototype iterations while keeping reliability and manufacturability in view\nYou approach intermittent failures with curiosity, patience, and a structured troubleshooting process\nYou want your engineering decisions to have a direct, visible effect on the finished product\nWhat makes this opportunity different\nEnd-to-end ownership: Follow your work from initial requirements through hardware, firmware, validation, and manufacturing support\nCross-disciplinary challenges: Solve problems at the intersection of electronics, software, optics, sensors, and physical integration\nRoom to experiment: Prototype quickly, test ideas, and help define the technical direction\nTangible results: Build systems you can hold, measure, improve, and see put to use\nLearn more about ChromoLogic at www.chromologic.com.","description_format":"text","description_chars":4805,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":5,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Wound Care"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-28T20:34:34Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":86,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.86,"p_room":1,"age_days":3,"expected_fill_days":30,"reasons":["conf:3","win:early"],"computed_at":"2026-11-01T06:10:25Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/chromologic-llc-window-electrical-systems-engineer","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/chromologic-llc-window-electrical-systems-engineer.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-11-01T11:50:09Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":18326,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-11-02T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":4389958},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=4389958"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fchromologic-llc-window-electrical-systems-engineer"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fchromologic-llc-window-electrical-systems-engineer"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fchromologic-llc-window-electrical-systems-engineer"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/chromologic-llc-window-electrical-systems-engineer\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fchromologic-llc-window-electrical-systems-engineer"}],"agent":{"mcp":"https://alion.io/mcp/jobs","mcp_open":"https://alion.io/mcp/open","next":[{"tool":"get_job","arguments":{"id":3419530}},{"tool":"search_jobs","arguments":{"company":"chromologic.com","detail":"compact"}},{"tool":"match_people","arguments":{"job_id":3419530},"note":"people open to offers who fit this vacancy"}],"note":"The same data through MCP tools: https://alion.io/mcp/open needs no sign-in (compact searches, postings, people); https://alion.io/mcp with an Alion account has everything.
