At CHS, we are creating connections to empower agriculture.\nSummary\nCHS is hiring an Experienced AP/AR Specialist to join its finance team. The Experienced AP/AR Specialist will provide day-to-day support for the business unit customers and vendors through the entire procure-to-pay process and, at the same time, seek process improvement efficiencies and understand corporate structures, business contacts, and stakeholders. The person in this role will also participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.\nThis role is onsite at our Herman, MN location.\nResponsibilities\nProcess and monitor supplier invoices, payments, and related transactions to ensure accuracy and timely resolution.\nResearch and resolve invoice, payment, and supplier account issues, including past-due invoices and processing exceptions.\nServe as a primary contact for supplier inquiries and maintain positive working relationships through effective communication.\nMonitor workflow queues, outstanding approvals, aging items, and department metrics to support operational objectives.\nIdentify root causes of payment delays, document findings, and provide reporting or escalation support as needed.\nMaintain accurate records, supporting documentation, and audit-ready files.\nUtilize financial systems and tools to process transactions, track activity, and support system enhancements.\nCollaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve invoice and payment issues and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.\nParticipate in process improvement initiatives, documentation updates, testing activities, and departmental projects.\nSupport cross-training efforts, provide backup coverage, and contribute to a collaborative, customer-focused team environment.\n Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.\nMinimum Qualifications (required)\n 1+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, and/or AP/AR\n High School diploma or GED \n Additional Qualifications\nProficient in MS Office suite\nStrong communication skills, both verbal and written\nStrong attention to detail and organization skills\nAssociate's degree preferred in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Business, Business Administration, or related field\nPre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions.
