You’ll work alongside experienced professionals and connect with mentors, industry experts and senior leaders, while gaining career insights, building relationships and exploring how CHS businesses work together to empower agriculture.\nCHS is hiring for a Communications Intern for the Summer 2027 to become an integral part of our dynamic communications team. In this role, you will gain comprehensive, hands-on experience across multiple facets of communications. In addition, you learn about our global business, allowing you to develop professional and personal skills and make meaningful contributions to our purpose of creating connections to empower agriculture.\nDuring the summer, the intern will rotate through four key communications areas: internal communications; communication tactic development and execution; content, channels and reputation communications; and governance communications.\nResponsibilities\nAssist with development of internal and external communications.\nSupport communications execution for functional teams and business lines.\nCreate and help publish content for employee newsletters, intranet, websites and social platforms.\nContribute to content that supports CHS purpose, priorities, culture, values and reputation.\nParticipate in special projects, including research, content audits, technology implementations, etc.\nCollaborate with communications team and internal partners across the organization as needed.\nLearn and follow CHS brand standards, editorial guidelines and digital best practices.\nMinimum Qualifications (required)\nCurrently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, public relations, business or a related field.\nAdditional Qualifications\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines.\nExperience with student organizations, internships or coursework related to communications.\nInterest in corporate and business communications.\nFamiliarity with digital content, websites or social media.\nInterest in agriculture, food, energy or cooperative business models.\nFamiliarity with Microsoft tools (Word, Teams, etc.) and design programs.\nCHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions.
