This intern will work directly with our product development chemist in the development of new formulations, testing product efficacy, and analyzing lab results to support the creation of innovative and high-quality products.\nResponsibilities\nFollow all laboratory and greenhouse safety protocols, ensuring a safe environment for yourself and others.\nAssist with experiments and research under the supervision of lab staff.\nPrepare lab materials, including equipment setup and sample preparation.\nMaintain accurate records of procedures, data, and results.\nMonitor and maintain lab equipment, performing routine checks.\nSupport data analysis and interpretation using appropriate tools.\nHelp maintain a clean and organized lab, including proper waste disposal.\nAssist with inventory management, including tracking and ordering supplies.\nContribute to reports or summaries of experimental findings.\nSafely work independently and handle agricultural materials appropriately.\nSterilize equipment and store materials securely.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nMinimum Qualifications (required)\nCurrently enrolled in Agronomy, Animal Science, Horticulture, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering, Environmental Science, Physics, Physical Science, or related field degree program.\nAdditional Qualifications\nDesire to learn, adjust and find solutions to problems.\n\nSelf-motivated and able to work independently and in a team.\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\n\nAbility to utilize office tools (phone, fax, computer) Microsoft Office products.\n\nStrong computer skills needed.\n\nCHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions.
