We are looking for an Experienced Technical Training Specialist to oversee the Refinery’s Maintenance Training Program by developing and providing training to employees at all levels around maintenance policies, procedures, and programs in a refinery setting. You must have strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills, along with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Apply today!\nResponsibilities\nDevelop a practical knowledge of departmental and company policies and procedures to gain specialized skills in a variety of processes and activities. \nDevelop and implement various maintenance training programs, policies and procedures and ensure they are up to date and accurate. \nTrain new and existing employees on new, updated, and existing Maintenance policies and programs. \nPrepare routine reports setting up files and records accordingly.\nOversee certain aspects of the Prism Software Suite residing in the Refinery Training Department.\nOversee the maintenance training and qualification program. Utilize and administer the computer-based training systems\nCollaborate with the 3rd party trainers to supply on-site and off-site training as required.\nDevelop, maintain, and communicate maintenance training metrics throughout the refinery on a regular basis.\nEffectively and professionally communicate with all levels of the organization.\nFacilitate and support the development and empowerment of Maintenance subject matter experts (SME’s) for various maintenance roles within the refinery.\nEnsure compliance with process safety management regulations, OSHA general industry and construction regulations for the maintenance department, including maintaining accurate training records by category and dates within our database following record retention policies.\nMaintain an elevated level of confidentiality handling employee records and information.\nEstablish, build, and maintain relationships with union personnel and other administrative staff.\nMaintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.\nPerform other duties as required or directed.\nMinimum Qualifications (required)\nHigh School diploma or GED\n2+ years of experience in Training and/or Maintenance experience\nAdditional Qualifications\n5+ years’ experience in maintenance and/or heavy equipment roles in a refinery.\nStrong technical understanding of petroleum refinery Maintenance activities.\nProficient computer skills (Microsoft Office) and other refinery-specific software.\nMust have excellent customer service skills and critical thinking skills.\nAbility to obtain qualifications for the job duties and to maintain all qualifications needed. (Forklift certification, Mobile elevated work platform certification, Train the Trainer Certifications, etc.)\nPre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position.
