In this role, you'll be a key contributor to the success of our store by applying your excellent communication and management skills in a fast-paced environment. This role will assist the Store Supervisor with the responsibility of all aspects of the store operations.\nCHS Offers:\n$1,000.00 retention bonus\nWork schedule flexibility\nFast career opportunities and internal growth\nWork with fun, motivated people\nThis is a full-time role with overtime pay, working 48 hours in a five-day week with work schedule flexibility.\nIf you're ready to kick start your career, apply today!\nResponsibilities\nServe as the lead support person in the daily operation of a retail store, providing guidance to other employees and assisting with general work direction and training.\nHelp ensure that safety procedures and accident handling procedures are followed.\nGreet and assist customers in a manner that models exemplary conduct to other staff.\nHelp ensure that all customer complaints are addressed and handled professionally, leaving the customer with a positive resolution.\nSupport the store manager in assuring buildings, equipment and grounds are clean and inviting; that merchandise is properly stocked, rotated and clean.\nComplete and balance paperwork and deposits when required, neatly and accurately according to company guidelines.\nSet an example in ensuring that all employees comply with company cleanliness, grooming and uniform policies.\nCreatively address merchandise displays to attract attention and promote sales.\nAssist in enforcing all company standards, policies and guidelines, in addition to all state and local laws concerning the sale of tobacco, tobacco products, alcohol, instant lottery tickets and Powerball tickets.\nMonitor cashier, vendor and customer activity and report theft or dishonesty.\nAuthorize gas station pump payments. \nEnforce and uphold the credit policy.\nMinimum Qualifications (required)\nHigh School diploma or GED\n5+ years of experience in Retail and/or Retail Merchandising and Customer Service\nAdditional Qualifications\nStrong Customer Service skills\nPrevious experience in a team lead or leadership role, preferred\nAbility to work flexible hours \nStrong communication skills, including written and verbal\nAbility to work on computers with MS Office Suite\nHigh level of product knowledge in one or more of the following areas: convenience store products, livestock or equine products, lawn and garden supplies, hardware, fencing, pet feed & supplies or any related retail knowledge, preferred\nPre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position.
