At CHS, we are creating connections to empower agriculture.\nSummary\nCHS is looking for a Transportation Supervisor to join our team in Lewistown, ID. This individual will directly manage drivers across a region and work closely with our DOT Safety, Dispatch, Fleet Management, and Maintenance teams to coordinate transportation projects and driver schedules.\nCHS has extensive busy seasons during spring planting and fall harvest, and the Transportation Supervisor will need to be available to work longer days and occasional weekends during our busy seasons as needed to support business needs.\nJoin our amazing team today!\nResponsibilities\nOwn the initial communication loop to fleet maintenance when issues arise with an asset that requires internal or 3rd party repairs.\nEnsure driver compliance with all regulatory, safety, and operational requirements across hiring, training, and daily execution.\nManage a team of drivers across multiple business units within your set region, leading team meetings, evaluating performance against KPIs and scorecards, and delivering regular reviews.\nPartner with HR and Talent Acquisition teams to ensure a standardized hiring process is utilized based on DOT compliance, regulations, & endorsements. This may include seasonal hiring.\nAdminister driver instruction and compliance materials, to both new and existing drivers, while supporting training execution and program delivery in collaboration with EH&S.\nFollow all company safety policies, procedures and regulations.\nBe responsible for the reporting of the new IRP/IFTA Distance & Fuel Log process, to all Primeland and Sun Basin locations.\nTogether with the location managers and the transportation group, coordinate driver schedules and asset assignments using TMS, telematics, or manual planning which is common in our geography.\nPerform other responsibilities as needed or assigned.\nMinimum Qualifications (required)\n High School diploma or GED\n 2+ years of experience in Supply Chain and Procurement and/or Transportation and Logistics\nAdditional Qualifications\nBachelor's degree preferred in Business, Systems Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\n2 years of experience in agriculture, energy, or seasonal-driven industries with fluctuating transportation demand\nClass A CDL preferred\nExperience managing commercial drivers in a DOT-regulated environment\nStrong proficiency with TMS, telematics, driver scorecards, and fleet tools\nProven ability to improve driver performance, safety, and engagement through coaching and data insights\nExperience partnering with EH&S and Fleet Maintenance on safety programs and preventive actions\nExperience leading change or standardizing processes across locations or teams\nRelevant certifications in transportation, safety, or supply chain preferred\nPre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position.
