Chubb Life HK - Director, IT Portfolio & Finance Management

This position will identify synergy between IT projects to optimize project cost. This position will also drive IT run cost to stay flat with the business growth and identify sustainable savings with IT project which transforms the way we work.

Responsibilities:

• Lead all IT project managers; drive adherence to the project management framework to ensure consistency on project execution and reporting.
• Drive projects to focus on business value delivered instead of fixed project scope, time, and cost.
• Reuse/combine project tasks/deliverables to ensure synergy amongst projects for cost/time savings.
• Ensure all IT projects targeted to enable business growth has no/minimal incremental run cost with the growth of the business.
• Ensure all IT projects targeted to transform the tech stack / the way we work results in sustainable reduction in run cost.
• Define, track, and communicate the business outcome targets to senior stakeholders.
• Coach and manage all IT project managers to deliver standardized execution and reporting with project synergy.
• Monitor and track external vendors’ financials especially during renewal.

Decision-Making:

• Decide on projects priority based on project dependencies, synergy between projects, and business priorities.
• There will be different levers this position can pull and thus need to make decisions to find a balance between the savings/synergy against the business priority and time-to-market.

• University graduate or above with preference in Computer Science or Information Security related field
• At least 8 - 10 years of working experience in information technology roles focusing on IT transformation, Project Portfolio Management, and IT Finance Management
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to translate technical outcomes into business terms easily understood by senior management.
