You will be the driving force behind Agile delivery - ensuring the team understands business requirements, commits to well-defined sprint goals, and consistently clears the backlog with quality outcomes. This role requires someone who can bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical developers, translating complex ServiceNow deliverables into actionable Epics, Stories, and Tasks.\nResponsibilities\nAgile Delivery\nFacilitate all Scrum ceremonies - Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement\nOwn the sprint cadence and ensure the team maintains a predictable, healthy velocity\nDrive backlog grooming sessions to ensure Stories are well-defined, estimated, and prioritized before entering a sprint\nMonitor and actively clear sprint blockers, escalating where necessary to keep delivery on track\nTrack and report sprint progress, burn-down, and velocity metrics to stakeholders\nBacklog & Requirements Management\nPartner with Product Owners and business stakeholders to break down business needs into well-structured Epics, Features, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria\nEnsure the development team fully understands requirements before committing to sprint work - no ambiguous Stories enter the sprint\nMaintain a healthy, prioritized backlog at all times with sufficient runway ahead of sprints\nChallenge vague or incomplete requirements and advocate for Definition of Ready (DoR) before work begins\nServiceNow Squad Support\nDevelop sufficient understanding of ServiceNow modules and development concepts (ITSM, workflows, integrations, configurations) to meaningfully participate in technical discussions and call out risks\nIdentify dependencies across platform teams, environments, and releases that could impact sprint commitments\nCoordinate with ServiceNow architects and developers on release planning, update set management, and environment availability\nTeam Leadership & Influence\nAct as a servant leader - coaching the team on Agile principles and holding them accountable without micromanaging\nInfluence and enforce Agile best practices across the squad, including proper Story sizing, DoR/DoD adherence, and continuous improvement\nProtect the team from scope creep and unplanned work mid-sprint\nFoster a culture of ownership, transparency, and continuous improvement through regular retrospectives with actionable follow-through\nJIRA Administration\nMaintain JIRA as the single source of truth - ensuring all Epics, Stories, Tasks, and Bugs are accurately created, updated, and closed in a timely manner\nConfigure and manage JIRA boards, workflows, and sprint structures for the squad\nGenerate and present JIRA-based reports - velocity charts, cumulative flow diagrams, sprint reports to leadership and stakeholders\nEnforce team discipline around JIRA hygiene: status updates, story point entries, and linking of dependencies\n Qualifications\n6+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, with at least 2 years supporting a technical development squad\nDeep understanding of Agile frameworks - Scrum, Kanban, SAFe - and hands-on experience running all Scrum ceremonies\nProven ability to write and refine Epics, Features, and User Stories with clear Acceptance Criteria\nStrong JIRA proficiency - board configuration, backlog management, reporting, and sprint administration\nExperience working with or alongside ServiceNow development teams (direct platform development experience is a plus, not a requirement)\nCertified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM I/II)\nStrong stakeholder management - comfortable influencing at all levels, from developers to senior leadership\nPreferred Qualifications\nSAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or SAFe Agilist (SA) certification\nExperience in regulated industries (financial services, insurance, healthcare)\nFamiliarity with ITIL and ServiceNow ITSM concepts\nExperience with PI Planning and Program Increment coordination\nKnowedge of DevOps practices - CI/CD, release management, environment coordination\nWhy Chubb?\nJoin Chubb to be part of a leading global insurance company!\nOur constant focus on employee experience along with a start-up-like culture empowers you to achieve impactful results.\nIndustry leader: Chubb is a world leader in the insurance industry, powered by underwriting and engineering excellence\nA Great Place to work: Chubb India has been recognized as a Great Place to Work® for the years 2023-2024 and 2024-2025\nLaser focus on excellence: At Chubb we pride ourselves on our culture of greatness where excellence is a mindset and a way of being.
