Part of getting there is making it simple for customers to apply for cover, find what they need and manage their policy online.\nReporting to the Head of Digital and Design, you'll lead CX and UX across our websites, portals, digital forms, application journeys and servicing. You'll take work from research and journey mapping through to prototypes, testing and handover to developers.\nOur design practice is still maturing. We have a design system in Figma, but the playbook, standards and ways of working are yours to help build. If you want a polished setup to step into, this probably isn't it. If you want to shape how design is done here, it is.\nThis is a senior role with a capability brief too. You'll set the design standards, build the team's playbook, look after the design system and coach the other designers. You'll also help work out where AI tools like Claude Code genuinely make design work better, and where they don't.\nLocation: Auckland (Takapuna) or Wellington\nRole Type Full time, Permanent\nWork Style Hybrid\nWhat you’ll own\nLeading CX and UX design on our priority digital journeys\n\nRunning journey workshops with the business to find pain points\n\nBuilding journey maps, personas and service blueprints\n\nDesigning wireframes and prototypes, then testing them with customers\n\nBuilding the Figma design system and the team's design playbook\n\nCoaching designers and finding practical uses for AI in design\n\n What you'll bring\n7+ years in CX, UX, digital experience or product design\n\nA track record leading journeys end to end across web, portal or app\n\nConfidence running workshops and discovery with stakeholders\n\nStrong research, prototyping and usability testing skills\n\nHands on Figma design system experience and a good grasp of accessibility\n\nThe ability to explain design decisions to business and tech people\n\nNice to have\nexperience coaching designers, using AI in your design workflow, or working in insurance, financial services or another regulated industry.\n\nYou don’t not need to meet every requirement to apply.
