Every application is API-first: each feature is delivered\nthrough a versioned, documented REST API that the web app uses today and mobile\napps will use later.\n\nAbout the role\n\nYou will be our lead developer across several products, each\na multi-user business system with roles and permissions, records that must\nnever be lost, payments, reporting and parent- or customer-facing portals. The\nfirst product is ready to build:\n\n• \nA business requirements document\nwith numbered requirements and acceptance rules\n\n• \nA complete UI/UX design with\nworkflow diagrams and a clickable prototype\n\n• \nA reviewed SQL Server data model\n\n• \nA started codebase: monorepo,\ndatabase migrations, API and web shells, Azure infrastructure as code and a\ndeployment pipeline\n\nLater products will follow the same pattern, and you will\nhelp shape the shared foundation (sign-in, permissions, audit, payments,\nnotifications) so each new application starts faster than the last.\n\nWhat you will build and own\n\n• \nThe API as the product.\nDesign and build versioned REST APIs (/api/v1)\ncovering every feature, documented with OpenAPI. The web app gets no back door:\nif a screen can do it, the API can do it, so mobile apps need no backend\nrework.\n\n• \nSecurity in the backend, not\njust the screen. Sign-in through Microsoft Entra ID with MFA, role-based\npermissions, branch or organisation scoping, and confidential records enforced\nin every endpoint.\n\n• \nWeb applications. Build\nstaff screens and customer or parent portals in React from approved designs,\naccessible (WCAG 2.1 AA) and responsive down to phone width.\n\n• \nCorrect, auditable data.
