The Associate Director, Internal Communications plays a key role in helping employees feel informed, connected, and aligned to where Church & Dwight is going and why it matters. This role leads enterprise-wide internal communications and engagement efforts that bring our values to life, strengthen leadership credibility, and support business priorities.\nAbout the Role\nServing as both a strategic advisor and hands-on leader, requiring both organized vision and execution. This role partners closely with senior leaders to deliver clear, timely, and meaningful communication experiences that connect employees to our purpose and to one another. The position includes one direct report and requires flexibility to meet business needs.\nWork Environment\nHybrid: This is a hybrid role based in Ewing, NJ and requires in- person attendance on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with remote work options on Mondays and Fridays. \nRole Accountabilities & Responsibilities\nInternal Communications\nLead and develop enterprise-wide internal communications strategy, ensuring messages are clear, consistent, and aligned with Church & Dwight’s culture, values, and business priorities.\nDevelop and implement a proactive CEO communications strategy, including clear messaging, consistent cadence, and effective delivery across key stakeholders.\nPlan and deliver companywide quarterly town halls that inform, engage, and connect employees.\nPartner closely with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to shape agendas, narratives, and key messages.\nCoordinate speakers, content, logistics, and technology in partnership with IT and external vendors.\nAnticipate risks and opportunities through scenario planning and long-term communication planning.\nWrite quickly, accurately, and effectively in a Church & Dwight tone that is authentic, clear, and people centered.\nDevelop and maintain a proactive communications roadmap focused on what employees need to know, when they need to know it, and why it matters.\nMaintain a high standard of accuracy and appropriate review for communications involving regulatory, legal, or disclosure-related matters.\nEngagement & Change Enablement\nServe as a trusted subject matter expert on change enablement, partnering across teams on change strategy, stakeholder engagement, organizational readiness, leadership alignment, communications, training, and sustainment.\nTranslate engagement, listening, and feedback data into clear executive insights that support practical, actionable decisions.\nBuild scalable toolkits, messaging frameworks, and leader resources designed for ease of use and adoption.\nBalance enterprise-wide consistency with flexibility to meet function-specific and localized needs.\nSkills and Competencies\nStrong strategic communication and storytelling skills across verbal, written and digital platforms\nExecutive presence with the ability to build trust and credibility with senior leaders.\nProven ability to advise, influence, and partner with stakeholders across the organization.\nDemonstrated success managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment.\nHighly collaborative, with the ability to lead through influence.\nGrowth mindset with adaptability to change.\nCommitment to standardization, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.\nKnowledge of change management frameworks and methodologies.\nStrong project management skills, including managing multiple initiatives at once.\nExperience managing and developing team members through coaching, feedback, and performance management.\nEducation & Experience\n Required Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in communications or a related field required.\n10+ years leading enterprise-wide internal communications strategy through execution working with both C-suite (CEO) and cross-functional key stakeholders required.\nPrior experience working in a global organization leading internal communications\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience managing engagement activities for both corporate and front-line workers (Manufacturing), employee resources groups, engagement survey infusing company and local culture\nChange management principles: understanding how change management applies to our internal communications and engagement activities.\nPROSCI certified, a plus.\nCompensation and Benefits\nThe U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $147,300-$209,700. This position is also eligible for a bonus.\nAs a Church & Dwight US employee, you (and eligible dependents, as applicable) will have access to medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid vacation and sick time, and Paid Parental Leave. U.S. employees are entitled to paid holidays, floating holidays, and vacation days starting in their first year of employment depending on hire date. You are also able to participate in our 401k retirement plan (with company match and profit-sharing) and Discounted Employee Stock Purchase Plan.\nThe actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay parity.
