The role will support the Fabric Care Research and Development activities with development of new formulations and product improvements in addition to other R&D work.\nAbout the Role\nThe Chemist will be under the supervision of an R&D Manager in a manner consistent with Church & Dwight's R&D Core Principles of teamwork, consumer and customer focus, personal responsibility and integrity, and ethical behavior and practices.\nWork Environment\nOnsite: This is an onsite rolebased in Princeton, NJand requires in-person attendance onMondays,Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays,andFridays.\nRole Accountabilities and Responsibilities\nDesign and execute laboratory experiments to develop new products, formulations, and product improvements.\n\nPlan, conduct, and analyze studies to evaluate product performance against defined project objectives.\n\nAccurately record, interpret, and communicate experimental results; draw conclusions and recommend next steps.\n\nPrepare technical reports, project updates, and presentations to communicate findings to cross-functional stakeholders.\n\nIdentify opportunities to improve product performance, quality, and manufacturability.\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Development, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Consumer Experience, and Packaging.\n\nEvaluate new technologies, ingredients, and methodologies for potential application in product development.\n\nSupport product qualification, scale-up, and technical transfer activities as projects progress toward commercialization.\n\nManage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting timelines and business objectives.\n\nProvide technical guidance to laboratory technicians, interns, or junior team members as needed.\n\nSkills and Competencies:\nKnowledge of formulation science, consumer products, or related technologies preferred.\n\nExperience with data analysis, interpretation, and technical documentation.\n\nUnderstanding scientific principles and product development processes.\n\nStrong laboratory techniques, experimental design, and troubleshooting abilities.\n\nAbility to maintain accurate laboratory records and ensure data integrity.\n\nEducation and Experience\nRequired Qualifications:\nMust have a BS degree from an accredited institution in Chemistry or a related discipline.\n\n2+years of laboratory experience.\n\nPreferred experience:\nMicrosoft Office Suite.\nCompensation and Benefits \nThe U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $71,000- $101,100. This position is also eligible for a bonus.\nAs a Church & Dwight US employee, you (and eligible dependents, as applicable) will have access to medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid vacation and sick time, and Paid Parental Leave. U.S. employees are entitled to paid holidays, floating holidays, and vacation days starting in their first year of employment depending on hire date.
