While we might not be the largest company in our industry, we believe we can have the biggest impact because: Together We Have the Power to Win.\nElectro Mechanical Technician - Job Description\nPay:\n$40.79/hour base pay\n+$1.75/hour shift differential\nBonus Eligible\nSchedule:\nThursday & Friday: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM\nSaturday & Sunday: 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM\nEssential Functions\nPromote a strong safety culture and awareness within all areas of responsibility; support all plant safety policies and procedures.\nInstall, monitor, test, repair, and replace electrical circuits, motors, lighting fixtures, circuit breakers, and transformers using appropriate tools and testing instruments.\nOperate, repair, and maintain high-voltage switchgear, controls, motor control centers, and PLCs.\nPerform diagnostic tests and repair or replace electronic control components and related equipment, including ground fault tracing and cable replacement.\nProvide controls support in troubleshooting PLC-based systems and instrumentation, with a willingness to grow this skill set.\nPlan and install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in machinery and buildings, including repairing or replacing conduit and wiring.\nDiagnose malfunctioning electrical equipment using testing instruments and hand tools to identify issues and correct problems.\nDiagnose, repair, and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment (e.g., seals, gaskets, bearings on motors, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, sumps, mills).\nTroubleshoot Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).\nExecute preventative maintenance schedules and perform routine mechanical and electrical inspections (e.g., emergency lighting, motors, switchgear, smoke detectors).\nFollow all department GMPs, SOPs, JSAs, and safety policy requirements; participate in safety training and comply with all safety procedures.\nWear appropriate PPE and adhere to all safety protocols.\nMaintain a clean and orderly work environment.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nWork from sketches or verbal instructions.\nInterpret blueprints.\nWork closely with the controls engineer.\nCreate work notifications in the Maintenance Management System.\nAdvise management when equipment operation could be hazardous.\nAssist with all tasks necessary to maintain the facility.\nFollow all plant safety, GMP, and SOP regulations.\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities\nExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships across all organizational levels.\nStrong communication skills-clear and concise in verbal and written formats.\nAbility to prioritize and direct work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.\nStrong knowledge of electrical power and control systems, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic principles.\nStrong working knowledge of AC/DC motors, PLCs, relay control systems, and analog controls.\nAbility to read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.\nSkilled in troubleshooting operating errors and determining corrective actions.\nProficiency with electrical measuring instruments.\nAbility to install equipment, machines, controls, conduit, and wiring.\nAbility to repair machines or systems using appropriate tools.\nProven knowledge of NEC, UL standards, Allen-Bradley controls, AC and motor controls, and various process sensors.\nStrong prioritization skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.\nStrong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to work independently.\nComputer skills sufficient to interface with machine programs, email, and electronic documents.\nAbility to operate a forklift.\nBlack Seal boiler operator license desirable or willingness to obtain one.\nAbility to provide recommendations for upgrades or improvements.\nAbility to recognize when immediate repair is needed versus a planned permanent repair.\nAbility to report and communicate work effectively within the team.\nWillingness to participate and communicate in group settings.\nEducation & Experience\nHigh School Diploma or GED required.\nMinimum five (5) years’ experience as an industrial electrician (approx. 70% of the role) with mechanical equipment repair experience (approx. 30%).\nExperience in fast-paced manufacturing environments, preferably consumer goods, food, or pharmaceutical industries.\nMust be able to demonstrate ability to work in compliance with regulatory agencies and discuss FDA/GMP requirements.\nCompensation & Benefits\nThe US base salary range for this full-time position is $40.79 per hour, plus a $1.75/hour shift differential.
